Would be a nice treat for us if he missed the opener.....

49ers running back Christian McCaffrey first missed practice on Monday, with his absence generally (and vaguely) attributed to “tightness.”
When asked to explain further, Shanahan, still showing signs of a concussion said, "his asshole puckered up when he heard Aaron Donald was likely to return to the Rams".

Why would they give him an extension, regardless of what type of year he has, let along a new contract? He's 30 freaking years old and he's been injury prone his entire career. He's been on IR 5 times in 9 years. That ain't getting better with age and age 30 is the Mendoza line for RBs to get big money, IMO.

That article said he played in all 17 games last year though.

I hope they pay him. A lot. He averaged less than 4 yards per carry last year. He's clearly nowhere near explosive as he used to be. His value now is a receiving back. Those guys are dime a dozen. But like I said, I hope they pay him.

Sure he did.

The last 6 years:

2025 : 17 GP
2024 : 4 GP
2023 : 16 GP
2022 : 17 GP
2021 : 7 GP
2020 : 3 GP

If I were a betting man, I'd bet he'd miss considerable time either this year or next after which, he'll be 32. If you want to give him huge jack for maybe 1 more good year, fine. But of course I could be wrong.

Harbaugh is just weird. So is John Harbaugh. But not in the same league as Jim.

They trail off in thought and just make you cringe.

It is presented as though they are geniuses, thinking beyond the level of us mortals. On the verge of their next amazing thought.

I'm not buying it. They are just weird.
