Big difference, Kyren always knows where the first down markers and end zones are. Kyren found the end zone 31 times the last 2 years while Robinson has 15 in 3 years as their lead back. One reason for Kyren's low average last year was also due to the large number of carries he receives in short yardage situations plus the injured o-line to start the season. He receives EVERY carry in short yardage situations and is the most successful RB in the league in short yardage conversions. If Robinson had a knack for finding the endzone or if he was considered an asset in the passing game he might rate above mediocre. I just hope SF has to rely on him heavily this year, good for us.
This is an excellent analysis of Kyren Williams. It reflects having seen a lot of him, week-in-and-week-out. As a die-hard Rams fan, you know their players well.

Kind of makes my point from my initial response that there are a lot of factors to consider in evaluating a RB. I would be surprised if either of us knew as much about Robinson as we do about Williams.

One final comment from me, regarding initial responses. If you check my initial post on this trade, I described Robinson as “pretty good”.

The Niners have a veteran starting RB who has an injury history. Their top three back-up RBs have all been injured in Camp. The 49ers added a young but experienced starting RB for a late round pick, and are not even paying his entire salary. In my opinion, that’s a good move.

So the argument for him and Kyren being good is bulk stats? Damnit not getting into this discussion again! If you want to think Robinson is anything other than a stat accumulator that's fine we're all entitled to our opinions.
It's all good, just a discussion. I don't live in socal, retired military and now living in Mississippi. Despite this, I can't remember the last Rams game I missed watching. Between Sunday Ticket and Bufflao Wild Wings I haven't missed a game in over 20 years. I'm not a big poster but I read everything on ROD daily. I really couldn't give 2 fucks about Robinson. Wasn't trying to be an asshole, but sometime shit happens.

Although they only have one on the roster, the 49ers still have plenty to consider at kicker. Jake Moody had a nice moment last week when he hit 5-of-6 field goals, including a game winner from 59 yards out, but whatever goodwill that earned him didn't last long as he missed a couple of kicks in practice last week and an extra point Saturday night against the Chargers.

The Niners seem intent on having Moody as their kicker to start the season after ending his competition with veteran Greg Joseph early in training camp. But it's fair to wonder if San Francisco will at least take a look around the waiver wire or reconsider Joseph as an option after Moody's inconsistencies showed up again this week. -- Nick Wagoner

Their fans sure didn't like Moody last year. Some were hoping they'd move on from him this year.

You have to face the facts and admit it. Moody has been clutch. For the Rams! :) He opened the door for the Rams to steal one from them last season. :)

I was clowning a Niner fan last night at work. He said "we" were predicted to win the division. I told him thats because Vegas knows there are a lot of stupid Niner fans who will light their money on fire and bet.
Then told him thats because the 49ers have not won a Super Bowl since Steve Young, before he was born. And Niner fans live in the past Vegas see's them as a easy mark.
He said we won one with Purdy....nope. Well with Collin K, I said nope, look it up dude. The look on his face was priceless.

Sounds like signs of early dementia for your 69er acquaintance.
