I looked a bit ago and think it was 28 but yeah he's nothing to write home about.Yeah, he needs lots carries to produce any kind of volume. He can get a handful of hard yards sometimes. He's been on a Dynasty FF team and I swear, I think his longest run from scrimmage is like 8 yards in three seasons.
That's a joke ... right?... and I swear, I think his longest run from scrimmage is like 8 yards in three seasons.
That’s the part I don’t get—paying part of his salary.I think he is better than just 'mediocre'; and a smart addition for the Niners, with McCaffrey's durability an issue and their top-back-up Guerendo injured. Two other backs are also out (Taylor is on IR).
Acquiring Robinson for a late-round pick; and, apparently not even having to take-on his full salary seems like a quality move by the 49ers.
To get the draft pick. Washington only had 5 picks in the next draft and were going to cut the guy anyways he was that bad in camp. They pay a little bit of his cap, reports now are it is only $1.5 million the niners pay the rest, and they get a draft pick that they wanted. They took on only $1 million more than cutting him. That’s the part I don’t get—paying part of his salary.
Why? The 9ers are the desperate party in this transaction.
It's probably no more complicated than what @OldSchool suggests above. That’s the part I don’t get—paying part of his salary.

Teams buying draft picks in trades has kinda been the new trend for a couple years nowTo get the draft pick. I think you need to get your shit together. There’ll be no positivity aimed at the whiners. Where the hell do you think you ARE?I think he is better than just 'mediocre'; and a smart addition for the Niners, with McCaffrey's durability an issue and their top-back-up Guerendo injured. I realize you are joking ... you have a brilliant sense of humor ... but if the 49ers traditionally suck as much as many posters Pretend they do, beating the Niners would not be so fucking enjoyable and rewarding.I think you need to get your shit together. I’m watching you mister!I realize you are joking ... you have a brilliant sense of humor ...

Other than the two Super Bowl wins, my All Time favorite Rams' victory was the 2021 NFC Championship.
I have re-watched that game more than a dozen times; and re-watched the 4th quarter rally from ten points down, at least three dozen times ... obviously, I need to get a hobby.
By comparison, I have re-watched the Wild Card win over the Cardinals, two weeks earlier, about 3 or 4 times. That was a very nice win but it was nothing compared to breaking the hearts of the Niners and their fans.
There is nothing more enjoyable than any Rams win but any 49ers' loss is a close 2nd.
His 3 years, averaged 3.9, 4.3, and 4.1 yards. He easily had the worst average of all their runners last year. Ekeler 4.8, McNichols 4.7, Rodriguez 4.9. And the Commodes drafted a 7th round rookie RB. Now, that's about as mediocre you can get as he wouldn't even have made the team with the above listed backs. I hope he ends being the feature back in SF. He won't put a dent in our defense. Good job SF.I think he is better than just 'mediocre'; and a smart addition for the Niners, with McCaffrey's durability an issue and their top-back-up Guerendo injured. Man, you just pine for the Steve Young, George Seifert Super Bowl Glory Days!Whiner fans who believe that are idiots. I'm confident they'll keep their 30 year streak going.
Big difference, Kyren always knows where the first down markers and end zones are. Kyren found the end zone 31 times the last 2 years while Robinson has 15 in 3 years as their lead back. One reason for Kyren's low average last year was also due to the large number of carries he receives in short yardage situations plus the injured o-line to start the season. He receives EVERY carry in short yardage situations and is the most successful RB in the league in short yardage conversions. If Robinson had a knack for finding the endzone or if he was considered an asset in the passing game he might rate above mediocre. I just hope SF has to rely on him heavily this year, good for us.And Kyren Williams averaged 4.1 yards for the Rams last year. Would you rate Williams as mediocre?
Yards-per-rush is an indicator. It's a good stat to consider in evaluating a RB. There are other factors.
Robinson had more carries than those other three backs Combined. Why did Dan Quinn use Robinson so much more to carry the ball? Was Quinn wrong to do so? They won 12 games and advanced to the NFCC.
If he was so vital to the success of their offense he wouldn't have been traded, for a 6th rounder. Last year the 1st year coach went with the incumbent starter as most of the time was probably spent on developing Daniels. 2nd year head coach said we need to get better at the position for this offense to continue their success. Don't think he could beat out Schrader for RB4 here so like I said, I'm glad the niners got their guy and hope he sees a lot of the field. Probably would mean CMC is injured again. Not wishing an injury, just a matter of when, not if.And Kyren Williams averaged 4.1 yards for the Rams last year. Would you rate Williams as mediocre?

So the argument for him and Kyren being good is bulk stats? Damnit not getting into this discussion again! If you want to think Robinson is anything other than a stat accumulator that's fine we're all entitled to our opinions. And Kyren Williams averaged 4.1 yards for the Rams last year.
