IIRC when he signed his current deal, it blew away the TE market and paid him among the highest WR. Here it is 5 years later and he's still top 2 or 3 highest paid. Cant imagine what he's asking for now
If Lynch was smart he would trade him and take a TE in this draft. Shitters have supposedly blanketed the defensive front options in the early going, and are rumored to be after a rush threat which makes sense. But they are in range to take Loveland.

I also think they should take McCord round 2 and let their QB walk in FA. And if they were to move Purdy and play McCord they probably end up with a high draft pick in 2026 they can move down from and accrue picks, or take another QB. But of course hopefully they back up the Brinks truck for Purdy Boy.

Agreed. Kittle is still playing at a high level. But he picked a bad year to call their bluff on fluffing his pillows.

Lot's of good tight ends out there. This thing is about to blow up in Santa Clara anyway. Tell him to pound sand. They need to properly overpay their slightly better than average quarterback.

It's the last year of his deal so he went from having all the leverage to this. I love that line "fluffing his pillows" btw
I wouldnt mind them trading him to Tennessee and getting him out of the division.
Titans could overpay him and give Cam Ward an incredible option
