He still has plenty of time left to play at Texas. He red shirt his 2023 season. He's eligible in 26 but may stay the extra year, especially if he doesn't like who got the top pick or top 5 picks.
Him not being able to beat out Ewers, who I do not like at all as a QB, is something I consider to be a bit of a negative. Not a red flag, but the boy should have been pushing to take over by eating snaps and then taking the reins down the stretch (if he is some great talent) and that didn't happen.

I dunno. Maybe they won't be as bad as last year. But it sure looks to me like the Superbowl window is closed. They lost Deebo, Hufanga, Ward, Hargrave, Collins and Juszczyk. They signed backups at TE, RB and S. Aiyuk is on the trade block. If they keep him who knows how he's gonna come back from a major knee injury. He wasn't very good before the injury. Perhaps the holdout hurt his training?

I think at best they'll be a borderline .500 type team. The one thing in their favor is they have a last place schedule. Thats 3 games where they play last place teams while we play first place teams from those divisions. I still think they'll struggle to win 9 games. Purdy showed he only excels when things around him are good. And they won't be as good as they were before last year.

It's crazy how people hold him in such high regard due to the Manning name. Remove that from the equation and nobody would be talking about him, for good reason. Let alone holding him up to some lofty status.
I think he played pretty damn good considering plus he was highly recruited. Also, he has wheels for his size. He will be a good pro, I don't doubt it.

I actually think Manning was better, but Sarkisian because Ewers came back went with the veteran. I believe Arch will showcase his talents this year and lead the Longhorns to a National Title. Again, JMHO, but you are right, if his last name was Moore, nobody would be talking, but his last name is not Moore, it's Manning and to be more specific, it's Archibald Charles Manning and I expect big things from Arch in 2025 and unfortunately his first game is in Columbus against my beloved Buckeyes and I will be in attendance at ringside.

You should know me well enough now @Merlin I sure love a blueblood. ;)

I don't view it that way. I see it as Sark wanting to be loyal to a QB that was winning for him. Sark and everyone else knows Manning would eventually get his chance and he is this year. I'm willing to bet he's gonna ball out. I believe he was the #1 overall recruit so it isn't just his name, he actually has talent. Manning himself said he'd patiently wait his turn. With the transfer portal, if he truly wanted to start he would have entered it.

Well Brock Purdy saved them.Lynch should be very grateful for that.
He & Ratboy sure messed up with Lance
You said it! Just think of how things would have likely played out had the 9ers not got lucky with a 7th round pick.
They would have been desperate in their pursuit of a QB, wasting a couple good years of talent, lost a couple prima donnas to FA (because of the losing and shelling out $$ to FA QBs) and finally, lynch would have been fired—possibly shannahan too.
