Let’s hope not!Does that play to Purdy’s strengths?

I honestly don’t think it will against us.I don’t think they had a choice in this. But it’s interesting that if you look at their roster, the Niners seem to be moving to more of an 11 personnel offense featuring more downfield throws, similar to what the Rams were in Stafford’s first year.

Hard to say. They do throw more downfield with Purdy than they did with Jimmy G. But Purdy doesn't have near the arm strength a lot other QB's have. I know the deep sideline pass is something he struggles with unless the guy is wide open. Even then I've seen him miss.I don’t think they had a choice in this. Wholeheartedly agree with your post. They will miss Deebo over the middle, Aiyuk will struggle and Purdy struggles when play-action isn’t availableHard to say. Could be wishful thinking but I just have this feeling their offense will be mediocre or worse. He doesn't have the good skill players he had a couple years ago. McCaffrey isn't the guy he was a couple years ago. Aiyuk struggled even before the injury. I can't see him being anywhere near the 2023 Aiyuk. Kittle is 32 and likely to be dinged up more often. Deebo is gone. And their line is generally considered subpar.
Not to mention he doesn't have the defense giving them more possessions and field position. They lost several starters to free agency. Their saving grace is the weak schedule. But that may not be enough.

If it adds two wins versus them every season for the next 5 years, then not my problem! LMAOThey just paid a quarter of a BILLION dollars to a GAME MANAGER at best. This will NOT end well for them, mark my words.
We know he can be pretty good with elite players around him. But we saw what happens when he doesn't have that around him. 6-11.Purdy is a legit starting QB but outside of the top ten, IMO.
He can extend plays with his athleticism (a fleeting skill, though) and he excels at processing pre-snap.
…but he’s still got a 7th round arm. See the INT he threw in the 12-6 game. He had the opportunity to step into that throw and zip it in but chucked it up with a lotta air under it. Even if he hadn’t overthrown it, it was gonna be trouble.
At this point, purdy is better than dak and being the 8th highest paid QB is actually a good/fair deal for both sides, given the current market.
The problem is the high contracts for players on the decline and the holes needing to be filled. They need to draft with the same success the Rams have had the last two seasons. That’s asking a lot. Falling short of that means falling short of the playoffs.
The trent williams situation is harmful in that he can no longer play most of the games but is getting a large paycheck. Re-upping kiddle to such a contract without a foreseeable successor is dangerous. The ayuck situation has already blown up and several of us here saw it a mile away. Terrible signing, perhaps the worst one the 9ers did.
…then there’s the mccafe situation. If he can’t come back this season to form, he’s probably finished. The best case scenario (for the Rams) would be him playing decent enough and only missing a few games—giving the 9ers hope and retaining him another year.
FIFYI just want the Rams to beat the Niners every fucking time we play them.
Only 20? Come on we're Rams fans raise the bar 40 times in a row.I just want the Rams to beat the Niners 20 times in a row.
