Are you in the UK?

I'm curious to know how you got to see games prior to Game Pass? When I moved to the US in 2006 I only saw games that were on Sky. I honestly didn't know there was another option as streaming was so spotty and plagued with virus issues.

In the 80s' I used to listen on AFN on medium wave. It was fine at the beginning of the season until the nights closed in medium wave became scared of the dark and it was utter shit.

Great memories though listening to Dickerson beat up on teams.
i used to watch those dodgey streams.... i used to be on the "original rams" board then RRF then here .. there was always someone who had a half decent stream link i could watch ...

I really hope that the Rams player and coach took to heart the lesson that the Bucs gave them this weekend (which was a repeat of what the whiners did). Do not let your foot off the gas in the second. Unless you are up 30+, NFL teams can come back. Do not play prevent and off man defense to protect from the "big" plays. The small ones all add up to the redzone the same.
This foot of the gas analogy for the bucs game is a fallacy im still seeing repeated.

It was more like don't put your foot up your own ass by fumbling the ball 4 times.

none of the mistakes were from a lack of aggression.

You know, maybe I’m the last guy to notice that the niners don’t do well against running QBs.

I think that moving Stafford in the pocket often may be a good strategy in this game.

The niners lost to Seattle and Arizona TWICE. GB beat them with Rogers. Teams with QBs with like Tannehill, and Wentz that have stout O Lines also beat the niners.

I’m glossing over a multitude of stats and facts I’m sure. I’m also sure this is nothing new to any of you. But I think it is interesting to me.

I was mostly referring to the niners game (because we play them next) where McVay hinted he was playing mostly possession ball in the second half.

The Bucs are good at generating TOs and have been for a while now. They were champs for a reason.

I do think we should have thrown the ball more in the second half of last game though. It is our strength. JMHO.

To your point, we are lucky to escape with a win after all those turnovers for sure.

Yeah I wish he'd have Stafford roll out a lot more. Seemed like that was a part of the offense earlier in the season and then just completely disappeared. And I remember it almost always being successful. The Whiners would be a good team to bring that back on especially early on. Do a nice mixture of screens, short passing type options with an occasional roll out for kill shots would be wonderful to keep that front 4 guessing and not all out pass rushing would be wonderful.

Yes, exactly my thinking. Occasionally stretch the field to Cooper or someone in single coverage when time allows to keep them honest. 100 percent.

Above all else, the Rams need to tackle well. The first man can't miss. And everyone else needs to be swarming the football to gang tackle opposing players if a tackle is missed (or hits but just can't succeed in bringing down tough runners like Deebo and Kittle individually).

The 49ers offense is pretty much all YAC. Shut that down and they're toast. Even more so than usual with a gimpy Jimmy G and left tackle (Williams). Assuming the latter even plays, which is really up in the air.

Easier said than done, of course.

Particularly as the Rams are not the surest tacklers...

EDIT - I would double Deebo but that leaves Kittle as a problem. The Rams need to get bigger in the secondary. Other than Ramsey, now that Fuller is out, everyone is undersized. Williams, Long Jr., Deayon... even the safeties are small in Rapp, Scott, and Weddle... that's 6 players... I don't think even one of them is 6'0"? I don't think so. A few are 5'10" or less. Could cause problems against a team like the 49ers. It sure would be nice to have a bit more balance in size.
