For all the talk about QBs moving, the 2021 QB carousel is starting to show more fizzle than sizzle.

The Texans spend weeks insisting that they would not move DeShaun Watson and, just as it seemed that they might be willing to talk, Watson's trade market dried up as he was hit with a dozen civil lawsuits (and counting). As of this moment, he's untradeable.

Russell Wilson has been a hot topic, but he remains a Seahawk. Again, despite some rumors and rumblings, it does not look like he's going anywhere.

Carson Wentz was moved, but does that move the needle for either the Colts (is Wentz better than Rivers?) or the Eagles (who will go with Jalen Hurts or a rookie)?

Sam Darnold is still a Jet.
Jimmy Garoppolo is still the 49ers' starter.
Dak Prescott is locked in to remain the Cowboys' starter.
The Broncos did not acquire a QB.
The Bears' big move was signing Andy Dalton.
The Dolphins are still riding with Tua.
David Carr is still the Raiders' starter.
Cam Newton is staying in New England.

The only team that has made a move that has, by clear consensus, resulted in a significant upgrade at the QB position is the Rams. So, while the Rams paid a big price, I'm feeling better and better about their quick and decisive move to address the position and bring in a guy who Sean McVay believes can take them to the next level.

Sounds right. And right now Deshawn Watson is in a bit of a pickle, so it remains to be seen if he'll still be traded or suspended. Plus the Rams added to their weaponry by signing another Desean. Now all they need to do is lure Nick Martin to play center and we can just sit back and enjoy the draft....BPA all the way.

Yep, quick and decisive. They do their best to not have the moves of other teams dictate their own moves. They are not reactive, they cause reactions.

Yeah. Go figure. As is turns out, we made the biggest QB move. Pre-draft, anyway.

Of your list all those teams (except Cowboys) will be looking QB in the draft, you’d think.

To be fair, the Watson situation was really the lynchpin to a QB merry go round. And while there was some doubt as to whether Houston would ever pull the trigger, nobody saw this nightmare coming.
That said, Rams showed what works best. When you want something, go and get it. Dont look back.

To @dieterbrock's point, unless clarity on Watson happens before the draft, nothing much will occur.

But things are going to look a lot different after the draft. I expect Darnold to be moved draft day and at least one other QB too. I expect either the Dolphins or 49ers will make a move for a QB in the draft and then Tua or Grappolo gets moved. Panthers will most likely have a new QB. Mishnew to Bears??

The QB carousel is still moving. Let’s see what happens at draft day and then I think we will have a better idea of where things are.

I’m happy our situation is done. But sometimes patience helps get you a better deal too. That being said we have our QB and can plan around that now which is never a bad thing

I have to believe the Texans wish they pulled the trigger on a trade now. He wanted out, they refused, he gets himself caught up in a horrid situation with-no end in sight, and he’s still a Texan labeled as habitual sex offender.

I wish this situation on no one. If he’s innocent, he’s still branded. If he’s not, he’s a POS who hurt a lot of people. Once again the only winner here is the truth and that is still up in the air.

Glad the Rams have nothing to do with him.

We made the first move which ended up being the smartest move. Waiting who knows what would have happened.

As for Watson I would stand my ground every day they dick around with him. Teams will give less knowing Watson is serious and the market will dry up a bunch after the top 3 draft prospects go off the board.

Really who's left unless one of the top teams surprise us and I doubt Jville will. Jets maybe. Atl, NE, Bears and Denver really don't have the ammunition to go get him without gutting the team. Maybe the Panthers or the Jets and that's about it.

I've never been so glad to miss out on a guy.

I can't imagine how this season would look with all that uncertainty. Would the Rams back out? Fail him on the physical? Be stuck?

And how stupid do the Texans look now. They coulda maybe dumped him for one of the biggest hauls in NFL history and because they're stubborn, controlling jackasses of the lowest order, their prince has turned into a pumpkin and they can't even make pumpkin pie (make something good out of the situation...)

If anything, I'm even MORE thrilled about Stafford the more I watch him. While I think Watson has some things above Stafford, for McVay's offense, I'm coming to the conclusion that Stafford was the best option overall and it's not really close.

If we win a SB then yes we won otherwise we're still the same, a good playoff team.
