yeah but WE have to play all THOSE teams as well which is something to very concerned about since so far everytime we have faced an elite quarterback as we will be facing in these next four games, our defense was carved and we had to get into a shootout. so far we have come out with a W on all those games but our fortune cant hold out forever.

Our defense will have to step up its game or the Rams will become like the chiefs in the 90's were once the playoffs started, they would have the best record in the NFL but they would go one and done all the time facing the best of the best. that was always a problem with the dolphins as well. Marino would carve defenses up and come out with a W during the regular season but once the playoffs always began, they were exposed. He can tell you firsthand how having a defense that gave up as much as it scored everytime it got on the field, always kept him from winning a superbowl.

.

if the rams do manage to win the next 4 games what's the bet some people will still be saying they haven't beaten anyone yet?

.
If the Rams do win the next 4, it will be because the defense has turned the corner and the game they played against the 9ers was a preview. I am just not that confident that that is the case. I rewatched the 9er game and saw a defense that created turnovers, but allowed them to move the ball pretty well otherwise. My problem with this defense is, when they don't get the turnovers, and last week they played a turnover machine, they give up way to many points. The good teams don't usually fold under pressure like the 9ers. This defense can stop the run or stop the pass, but can't do both in the same game. They are not consistently good and that worries me. I hope they are pulling it together, but it just seems like last week they just played a really bad team with a lot of injuries. The Packers are getting some key guys back from injury and they will be better than when they played the 9ers. If the defense can't play consistent solid defense and only plays for the big play, they are going to get burned, and they have been burned for big plays more than any other team. Lets hope they have turned the corner.

The same way we handled the three road games when everyone was saying "they have three road games in a row, how will they handle it??"

I’m pretty confident we go go 4-0...Cuz we’re undefeated on the road this year....and....we’re undefeated at home....Move over, ‘72 Phins! Get the champagne on ice, cuz we like it cold!

I totally agree with this. Now is the stretch of the season where a D has to assert itself.

If our D becomes more consistent we will not be beaten.

GB is next. No one else.

well same old same old, still have not turned the corner, same story as before when facing an elite quarterback, the defense gets carved up.They got LUCKY on this one.what the hell was mcvey thinking being conservative at the end running gurley TWICE having to settle for a field goal? i can understand the first time on second down but on THIRD DOWN? you got to take your shots at the end zone damnnit!!!!!!

when that happened and they settled for the field goal,,i was just waiting for the other shoe to drop and for Rodgers to drive them for the winning field goal.we lucked out on that NOT happening only because the kick returner got careless and had butter fingers fumbling the ball. we have had lady luck on on side a lot this year.Maybe that will take us all the way and we will continue to have it.

remember the year the dolphins went undefeated THEY got lucky as well.they had a couple games just like this where the other team was on the verge of winning but the dolphins dodged a bullet and got lucky cause the kick off returner also fumbled the ball on the kickoff after bringing the return deep in dolphins territory so maybe history will repeat itself.we can only hope.:)

You say other teams will look at what the Packers did and use it as a model. I say, McVay will look at what the Packers did and get better.

Plus, Cooper Kupp is the man on third down. We needed him during some of those blitzes.

I'm pretty certain the Packers studied our game against the Broncos beforehand. Limit the running game, get pressure on Goff to rattle him, and play bump-and-run coverage on receivers. It's not complicated.

The problem for opposing teams is can they do it for 4 quarters. So far the answer to that is "no."

I obviously hope you are right,It is starting to really piss me off that everytime they face an elite quarterback their defense gets torched. we dodged a bullet when that kick off returner developed butter fingers and fumbled the ball.I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop and rodgers lead them to one of his comebacks with a winning field goal he has done so many times. glad i was wrong. we need coop too soon.

Not so sure we would be saying that now though had that kick off returner not develop butter fingers thankfully as he did though.LOL

It's almost like some believe Aaron Rodgers would automatically have moved the Packers downfield for a field goal in two minutes, as if he was unstoppable or something. It's an insult to our defense. The way I look at it is that the fumble robbed Aaron Donald of another potential sack.

Without Talib (and with Peters playing at 60% rather than missing a couple of games to heal fully), I don't really see the team beating NO this week, but fully expect this 4 game stretch to be a 3-1 affair.

What makes the Saints so special? Just like the Rams, the Saints should get this question: "who have the saints faced this year?".

I'll answer that...Nobody!

Game #1: Lost to the now 3-4 Bucs at home.
Game #2: Barely beat the now 2-5-1 Browns at home 21-18
Game #3: Barely beat the now 3-4 Falcons away 43-37
Game #4: Beat the now 1-7 Giants away 33-18
Game #5: Beat the now 5-2 Redskins at home 43-19
Game #6: Barely beat the now 4-4 Ravens away 24-23
Game #7: Beat the now 4-3-1 Vikings away 30-20.

Combined Records of 7 Saints Opponents: 22-29-2

Big Whip! Rams will probably destroy the Saints this coming Sunday!
