He should make sure he's in camp day one. If the Rams hit on his selection he's going to be talking contract with them after his first two seasons, given that he's on a four year. So get your oversized ass in there and get to work on being great.

A little under 10 mil for 4 years? appx 7mil for 3, make a deal and move on.
Lets go!

As part of the working force I tend to side with labor. My guess is the players union has had some influence in this.

Trade his ass to Cleveland. "Hey Terrence a few more years and they will have a dome there." I would not be a good negotiator when it comes to players.

One guy got guarantees so the other 31 must too? I've been on both sides, labor and management, though they both want what's best for their side, there comes a point where you say "here's a fair deal" and both sides agree. All it takes is one second round pick to tell his agent, "enough, let's sign" and it'll be like dominos. Ferguson doesn't have to be the one who starts it, just one of the dominos.

Another reason for him to sign his contract is that he just got married last weekend to his high school sweetheart and she wants that money!

Thing is, they'll get paid upfront with a healthy signing bonus (approx 3-4 mill), & 1st 2 years guaranteed. The money in question would be the salary of years 3 & 4
It's not even about how much, that is pretty much pre-determined.

i think the pay scale is pretty well determined already, so a guarantee is moot...

here's why ..

anytime this much money is involved an INSURANCE POLICY is a must... to much injury risk in the NFL...

so if you're not stupid, you're covered...

sign... now... get on with life
