Countess??
Doubt anyone wants TG with all the questions about his health. He honestly has played good in the running game and blocking . His hands have been atrocious.
Not sure what's up with mcvay and Gurley, wish they were more transparent with that situation.
I agree we could lose cooks, woods kupp and Reynolds works fine for me. But again who wants cooks with his injury issues?
Gonna be a very interesting few years coming up
Neither of those two save money and will ruin our cap. Sorry.1. Trade Gurley before the draft (if possible) for a late round #1 pick?
2. If Cooks wants to keep playing, try trading him for whatever we can get for him. (Need to save money with him, he's not a difference maker at the money he's getting.) Even if we only get a 3rd for him, do it.
Great topic, Brian! I would put Henderson in full time. This team needs a spark, and it won't come from the players we have starting. The O-line is a mess, but there is nothing we can do right now. Gurley, for whatever reason, cannot be counted on. I'm not giving up on the season, but what we do have to lose? The team is playing like crap and has been for a while... to think that they will turn it around and run off 7 in a row is ludicrous. Let's see if Henderson can give us a spark carrying the rock 25-30 times!
What if McVay realized from early on in the season that this oline was not going to get us to the superbowl, let alone the playoffs. Do you still jeopardize your star running back that has a knee issue?we probably stopped running because we couldn't use Gurley, You know, because of that snap count. So when we have 4 games left are we going to give Gurley 30 carries a game? does it matter that by that time we will be eliminated from making the playoffs. I don't believe any of this saving Gurley crap anymore. My theory is, as soon as we start to use Gurley as a workhorse his knee begins to swell up and we shut him down. I can't see any other reason why we stop using him.
Should he not have realized that before? Do we not a have one of the better Dlines in the NFL? Would he not see that in training camp? or preseason? No, I'm thinking there's a lot more that the FO is not telling us in regards to our star running back. You don't save players 2 or 3 games into the season. Doesn't make any sense. What if McVay realized from early on in the season that this oline was not going to get us to the superbowl, let alone the playoffs. They were saying before the season started that he would be on a pitch count, so it's possible he did notice it.Should he not have realized that before? That was all related to his workload and keeping healthy for when it counted. I believe it counted yesterday and Gurley was on the sidelines. They were saying before the season started that he would be on a pitch count, so it's possible he did notice it.
If if were me in charge, here's the moves I would start planning on making.

But you will jeopardize your star QB by having him drop back 45 times vs the Steelers? What if McVay realized from early on in the season that this oline was not going to get us to the superbowl, let alone the playoffs. Do you still jeopardize your star running back that has a knee issue?
