Sure would have been nice if he felt at all interested in playing the Dolphins, Jets, 9ers, etc this season. We'd have been in perfect position to win the SB, considering we beat the Bucs without breaking a sweat.

To be fair, any player who gets traded will have a little more motivation to prove everyone wrong. However goff didn't seem to be going through the motions at times.

I’ll take the hate...if the Rams aren’t in the Playoffs/SB I sure as hell hope the Lions make it(The Rams made it in 99, so crazy things have happened).

The only losses I care about are the ones that happen to the Rams.

Lol come on man - gotta get over it. What is he supposed to say? “Oh yeah it felt really good?” Every player has a chip. No point for this post.

It's not at all about what he said. He has the right to feel how he feels, and say what he wants to say.

Just like I have the right to post this in my frustration that he didn't come to work ready to play, costing us multiple games in a year we were set up to win the whole enchilada.

It almost made it worse when he laid it all out there, injured and all, and gave everything he had late in the season. It made it blatantly obvious his mind was elsewhere for key parts of the season against inferior opponents.

You can doubt me, but that would be YOUR right.

That’s exactly how I felt. After watching him in the playoffs.

What else could he say though? He almost comes out and says what many are thinking, but then he cut it short. He needed this. He said that. The way I take it is he needed a kick in the pants. He got a pretty hard one all the way to Detroit.

Was he talking about Tyrell Williams when he said Jamal? If so that’s a bad look for the leader of the team.

LOL ohhhh right. You probably cared way more about winning than he did. He just didnt give a shit, huh? Okay. Personally, I think that is a silly narrative.

Fire, passion, leadership, desire. Things that are always as plain as the nose on a face. That's why I love walking around NYC, just looking at people and knowing "successful, passionate, type-A, driven" or "loser, uninspired, just looking for someone to follow, lazy".

Must be a slow day around here if we need to open a thread about things the QB for the Detroit Lions said.

There were times on the sideline last year you could see he didn’t want to hear it and wasn’t interested in looking at the tablet.

Plenty of body language can show levels of interest.

I don’t know what the difference was between the Buccaneers game snd the Dolphins game but he didn’t seem to have the same intensity week to week.

Breaking his thumb was just bad luck, playing in the Seattle game was unquestionably ballsy and showed the toughness he could have.

I don’t think he will lift the Lions and carry them out of the cellar alone but he could definitely improve over what he did in 2020.

What an amazing ability to be able to judge people so well. You can do that anywhere though, no?
