I'm not a big draft guy. I love watching it, but I don't like trying to pretend that I know who to pick. Without all of the information that the NFL teams have to look at that we fans have no access to... I just defer to them. But even with all of the 411, it's still a crap shoot for the people getting paid to do it too.

There have been a few that I was dying to get though. It's easy for me to pick one that I just knew was going to be a stud ...

HOLT

I watched him basically singlehandedly beat my Seminoles in college. He was unstoppable... a Man amongst boys at the highest level in college. I didn't need all the behind the scenes info on Holt to confidently know he would dominate in The League. To me... he was more of a sure thing than a hooker.

Kevin Greene when we picked him in the 3rd. He looked special from the off. He was a throw back who we should have never let go

I remember Dickerson’s first year but don’t recall actually drafting him. Was Robinson the head coach or did he inherit him? He was sensational but we couldn’t find a QB worth a damn!

Dickerson was drafted second overall in 1983 (Elway went first) That was Robinson’s first season.

Kevin Greene was a fifth round pick in 1985.

Dang some of you are older than dirt! Mine was probably Gurley. I was ecstatic when I heard his name called.

MGD is still a great beer for a hot day. All those pale American lagers are great for that and taste a thousand percent better if you're at a game.

I never really watched the draft much. ED was the first I really paid much attention to. Then the next one was probably Steven Jackson. I watched him play at THE ORIGINAL OSU. So I was stoked when we drafted him. He was a man among boys in college. I knew he would be a beast for us. I still am angry that we never put a team around him. Can you imagine him in a McVay offense?

John Cappelletti. Living on the East Coast plus being a Penn St. fan, that tear jerking Heisman speech, I was hoping the Rams could get him. I thought, "what a class dude!". His NFL production didn't approach his NCAA numbers but once they switched him to FB, he was solid.

I had to look back through the drafts, but AJ Hawk was the first guy I remembered that I really really hoped would fall to the Rams. I was sure he could help fix our defensive problems and the Rams could get back on top. Alas, he was picked up by the Packers long before we had a chance.

My brutha from a different mutha.

I was thinking the exact thing almost word for word.

I just can't get into the speculation of the draft and the metrics of those available. Just too much.

I do get into the picks and micro analyzing them with all info available. I tune in even when it may be difficult.

Not our draft pick directly but remember sportin a little wood when we got Everett during the whole thing.

I must admit I am an insufferable optimist. I can see where most all of them will bring us a trophy. Every year.

GO RAMS!!!

I was the same with Everett. We finally had a QB that wasn't somebody else's leftovers. That was Real excitement.

Hell... I even named my dog Blade.
