LaVar Arrington is the first one I can recall. Dude was an absolute animal in college and this is around the time when I started get interested in watching college games. Thought he'd be a first ballot HOF and a wrecking ball in the NFL. I knew the Rams would have zero chance at him, but, its ok, we got a consolation price in Trung Canidate :sick2:

LOL.

I worked with a guy who played DB at Cal State Northridge (under George Allen no-less) before they eliminated the program. His claim to fame was making a solo tackle on Faulk in the open-field. Though to be fair, it was along the sideline so he had 'help.'

A fun listen to hear him tell it...

Ndamukong Suh. I remember being amazed at the way he single handedly dominated Colt McCoy and that entire Texas offense that year.

George Allen ? You sure he remembered the team he played for ? IMO there was a long history of The Rams in Long Beach. My friends wife’s dad won a Superbowl with Allen.
BTW - Terrel Davis played for him with the Chargers ex-HC who played QB.
You might want to fact check his claim to fame.Did they even have a program there ?

Division ? The Pacific West Conference was one of The Best Passing league in the NCAA. Became The Big West.

IMO CSULB would have had Football Stadium & still been in The Big West with Vegas. His death stunk. Was questioned & I questioned it as well like his wife.

I remember thinking Marcus Dupree was going to light up the NFL after the Rams drafted him. I dont think he ever played in a regular season game. Gurleys knee lasted much longer than Duprees knees. He was one of many talented RBs the Rams drafted that just never panned out.
