I'm drafting 2 corners.. one high and one in mid-rounds.. and signing one upper-tier FA corner.. and keeping Forbes and signing one lower-tier FA. That could be McCreary.

I would absolutely add to the dline/pass rush mix as well.
I think a bendy type pass rusher is needed on the edge. Last guy the Rams had like that was Miller, and before him maybe Quinn. Add to the Corner position in free agency and the draft. Just keep adding talent to the Defense. It's close to being a top unit.

I agree

I was impressed the D was as good as it turned out to be..... And in many instances the offense didn't always put the defense in a good position.

Or if McVay went for field goals we would have won 33-31.... Or if converted TD's 41-31.
Yea, you are correct as usual. Darnold was only 25-36, 346 yards, 3 TDs and a 127 passer rating agai st us. Yea, the defense did their fucking job. The same QB who completed 50% of his passes in the Super Bowl for barely 200 yards. You are right, our secondary is just fine and we can win a Super Bowl with the same group next year, no improvement needed in the secondary room according to your expert analysis.

Saw a recent mock from ESPN that had us taking two corners in the first round. Wouldn't surprise me depending on what happens in free agency. Snead has a pattern of going multiple at positions in some drafts.

We tend to double and even triple up but will be interesting to see if they would do it in the same round... that I'm suspicious of.

Well, if they are real active in FA, I wonder if they could take Styles at 13, then trade up from 29 to get Boston who is slated to go around 18-25. Of course they would have had to address CB heavily in FA.
I'm a lot higher on Styles now than I was prior to really focusing in on him. I would say in fact that it would not surprise me if the Rams target him at 13 or maybe even move up for him.

The other kid at Ohio St (forget his name) is also something. But he's more of a swiss army knife. Now maybe the Rams like that. But I think in that top half of round 1 Styles is a guy who would make our ILB woes a thing of the past. I'm real impressed by him.

If the Rams would draft him it would be amazing. Take a CB at 29 and a WR in the 2nd add the beef at NT later and a FA CB and wow that's a D.

Assuming the Rams keep their R1.13 pick - they will pick best starter available. IMO that means Styles/LB, Delane or McCoy/CB, Lemon/WR. This will be impacted by what they do in FA (for example picking CB1 via FA and pushing drafting a CB down to R1.29 (Colton Hood) or trade up a bit in R2 (Chris Johnson).

I would have zero issues with Styles at 13, although Dallas might take him at 12. I could see them looking at him as their version of Emanwori. Different position, but a multi faceted guy on the defense. So if they really like him, would they jump Dallas if it comes down to them knowing Dallas likes him also? It will be interesting.

Yeah and 29 feels real nice for Corner. Better value it feels to me, and a couple who fit us nicely. And if that isn't there, then Edge should be or move down and take either.

Really I just want to see real investment in the defense. We have some nice pieces that deserve to have the right shit around them.

Saw a stat where Brady in NE had a top 10 defense 17-20 seasons.
Fun fact: Tom Brady never won a SB without a top 8 scoring defense. One of the reasons I personally think Peyton Manning was the better QB. Brady is the GOAT but he got a bit lucky.
