Problem is that every playoff team is in the other 40%. Rams gave up 30+ twice in three games this playoff.

I have stated all season we have to score 30 plus to win (especially against good teams), and I don't see any difference next season, unless the defense is completely revamped which I don't see happening. We will field pretty much the same defense as last season and hopefully a years more experience will provide additional field awareness for some of the younger DB's.
Funny I clearly remember many here were rubbing their peckers and spouting how great our defense was last season, then Lake went down, then Adams went down and all of sudden I started seeing the below posts:

If the Rams offense stays healthy and we add another WR and some additional OL personel for Stafford, we will be knocking on the door for another Super Bowl..... And it wont be because of the defense or special teams.... It will be because of Stafford's arm.
We knocked on the door this year due to Stafford. We couldn't get thru the door with our secondary. It we don't improve the back end we will face the same fate again. Not a long list of Super Bowl winners who couldn't play good to great defense. How many Super Bowls did Miami's Dan Marino get them to? 1, and he lost. Magic arms don't win Super Bowls by themselves.

It all went a bit south once Lake was injured. Even the offense had issues when Adams went down. However, in spite of that the Rams should have made it to the Super Bowl.

Stud Edge pairing for Verse would be nice. Or a snot bubbler with a heavy anchor up front. Or a legit ILB upgrade. Or a safety who can ballhawk the deep middle. But yeah I am damn happy right now with this defense. Feels good to know this secondary has been upgraded. Finally.

Also, am I the only one who feels like AD has been gone a loooong time? He retired 2 years ago, but man it seems like it’s so much longer ago than that.
Last year he did this year he's off the books. This year Rob Havenstein is our biggest dead cap hit at a bit over $5 million.

He was not getting paid last year. It's just how they had to account for bonus money already paid to him while he was playing. They have to account for that even after he retires. Then then split that amount over the 24' and 25' seasons, but it wasn't new money paid.
Not sure why $25M has bee thrown-out there but just for clarity ...

Other former-Rams that carried huge cap hits for Last Year (2025) ... either through Void years or Dead-$ were Cooper Kupp ($22.3M), Joseph Noteboom ($10M) and Jonah Jackson ($8.5M).
