The battle for 3rd WR has to be the most intense, don’t you think?

I mean, sure, the competition at LOT, OC, and 3rd CB are pretty fierce, too. We may not know those winners until opening day.

But 3rd WR? Goodness.

Coaches and beat writers have been raving about the camp of all 3 of these guys since the jump. I don’t envy Yarber, LaFleur, and McVay these decisions although it’s certainly 3 ‘champagne problems’.

Honestly, I foresee some sort of rotation for these guys once season starts. Maybe for a series at a time for each? Or maybe some 4 WR sets? (And I’m hoping for more 12 sets, dammit)

To their respective credit, these 3 guys are not making it easy on their coaches but Ram fans are loving it. I know I am.

It is Tutu's year. I believe Atwell proves that he is more then a one trick pony. Nacua will also showcase ability as long as he stays healthy, but Atwell proved last year he can run all of the routes and IMO, Atwell will continue to grow showcasing to not only being a home run threat, but also the ability, but also being a reliable target for Stafford.

I must admit that Atwell’s progress has been a very pleasant surpris. Kudos to both Atwell and coach Yarber.

Demarcus Robinson has also been a very pleasant surpris. I expected him to be a vet that showed the youngsters how to practice and prep, with maybe a little leadership sprinkled in. But he has been a goddam beast in camp from all reports.

But Nacua has ‘IT’, imo. He will e be our #3 WR when all the dust settles.

This 3rd WR ‘champagne problem’ is one that Rams are happy to have, I’m sure.

Really don't think anyone will lock it up before the season starts. Production once the season starts will determine who gets more playing time. I think it's going to be a mix of Skowronek and Atwell.

Rams schedule looks to be unwinnable to start, could be 0-6 to start off, but it should be interesting to see which players step up the remainder of the year!

Nacua has great size (wears size 14 cleats) however, the knock on him at BYU was health. Now, he has looked stellar at OTA's & at training camp plus, it appears he will be the punt returner too. If Nacua stays healthy you could be right, but I also believe Atwell will have a huge year possibly halting @Loyal dreams of Creed Humphrey dancing in his head.

What about Skowronek? He was McVay's swiss army knife last year. Robinson has looked good. And he's got vet experience. Tutu's got the speed to stretch the defense. Puka has the look of a possession receiver. Something every team needs.

If its Robinson how much would that take away from the younger guys development? Robinson is on a one year deal. Tutu has a couple more. Puka has 4 years. If Robinson isn't part of the plan for 2024 and beyond will they sacrifice the development of Tutu and Puka? Or do they want to compete and just put out the best 3?

From all the reports being circulated by camp reporters both paid and not it sounds like Atwell may have the inside track.

In my eyes the #3 WR spot is pretty overly hyped in comparison to the O.L battles.

On The O.L the guy that wins a spot can keep another player off the field for the better part of a season if not a complete season.

The number 3 WR may only keep the other WR’s off the field for a handful of plays.

I think it’s a positive that we have so many options at WR. Means that we can rest Kupp and Jefferson from time to time, and not run them into the ground by using them on every single play.

I’m hoping Nacua evolves into a legitimate WR2 by the end of the year. That will give us options for next year should Jefferson not take a big step up this year.

Jourdan shared that she doesn't think we'll see Skow as much with Tutu and Nacua and even Robinson overtaking him.

If the Oline gets sorted and we have threats at X, F, and Z receiver this year, I think we can be in every game... even if some of there are shoot outs cause our D can't do anything.

This is the right direction. There is no 3rd receiver in football. There's just X, F, Z (and variations of these spots and designations).

Rotating receivers is hard cause what you may gain with versatility you lose significantly with experience, tempo, disguising intentions.

That being said, we'll see some rotation but it will depend on who's playing what position. For instance, I could certainly see Robinson coming in for the X position if Jefferson had to be subbed out for as he's the more prototypical X but he'll never sub for the F position whereas Nacua can easily if Kupp bumps to Z or is out for some snaps (apparently Tutu is getting snaps at F too but his change of direction has always been mediocre so I don't love him there).

I do expect Tutu and Nacua to share snaps at Z the most.

It will be interesting to see how many WRs they keep on the roster. All three of those mentioned by the OP will likely make the cut but they are all (including Skow) different types of receiver.

Atwell has to prove it to me in game time production, I haven’t seen enough from him. Nacua looked good last night.
