Lots of memories from the 70s & 80s, it was a great time to be out doing stupid shit and having fun. If cell phones/cameras were everywhere in the 80s I would either be famous or in prison, maybe both.

One of the greatest days of the 70's

was when your Sears Christmas Wishbook came in the mail

that was always a great day :startstruck::hug::smilehearts:

My Rams fandom began with one of those catalogs. In the section where they sold those cheesy football uniforms, they had an action shot of Merlin Olsen (in the classic blue/whites). Saw the horns on the helmet and thought it was the coolest thing ever. That was 1972, and been a Rams fan ever since.

I grew up in Hollywood CA in the 70's and I can remember taking the bus to Westwood to see the Exorcist with my sister. Neither one of us were old enough to get in without a parent but somehow the ticket taker said nothing and we stood in line for two hours.
When I got into High School I went to all the clubs on the Sunset Strip and Santa Monica Blvd and actually watched Van Halen perform before anyone knew who they were.
I watched as Disco took over and Rock went under ground and got kind of Grungy. Invitation only clubs sprung up with heavy metal rock bands. I saw UFO play with only about 150 people in the building and an open bar.
It was a good time in tinsel town in the 70's we could cut school and be in the snow in the morning up at Angeles crest and back down to Malibu Beach to ride a few waves in the afternoon.

You were riding around in them when you were 20?
Who didn't? Normally with some Disco Boombox playing "We Are Family" very loud....

On a serious note - I did try riding on one when I was 18 and I was a skinny kid and still almost broke the damn thing

We all did and that was so infuriating with only one TV in the house!
My parents were somewhat well to do and we had gasp - a second black and white 13 inch TV in the house

I would RUNNNNNN to that TV when LW was on

Our living room TV was in color - oh my
