The Arizona Cardinals are taking extra steps to help make sure the Los Angeles Rams feel at home when they take over State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., to play their wild-card game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Earlier this week, the NFL announced that the game, which was scheduled to take place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Monday night, would be moved to Arizona due to the wildfires currently causing destruction across the area.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cardinals have been doing what they can to help the Rams through what is undoubtedly a difficult and stressful transition. The team went as far as donating the use of two of their planes to help the Rams team, their staff, their families, and even their pets to relocate to Arizona as they wait for the fires to stem.
The Cardinals are also giving the Rams use of their training facility ahead of the big game.

Fans loved the classy gesture from the Cardinals towards their divisional rivals.

The Rams will be playing to represent their city on Monday night, but they clearly have more than just the Los Angeles community pulling for them through this difficult time.

This forum is built on acting like teenagers. That’s part of the draw. But to your point, kudos to the Cards organization. They’ve shown the value of care and compassion. I’ve never had a problem with the Cards beyond normal divisional rivalry. Nothing about that organization can be described as dirty, obnoxious or disrespectful. Can’t say that about some other teams.

Are you guys really this naive ?! Bidwill & The Cards are making bank off this tragic situation. No doubt he'll be compensated for the plane use directly or indirectly & get a fat chunk of playoff tv money. The Cards are invested, like most teams, in the visitor infrastructure surrounding their venue: hotels, restaurants, etc, so there's misery-bucks rolling in there, too.

While I'm sure there is plenty human sympathy there among staff, fans, & maybe even ownership, this is just classic NFL spin to make themselves look good. Profitable virtue-signalling like charging the military for ceremonies & flyovers was until they got caught. The idea that they are doing this as some grand gesture is laughable.

Can anyone explain why Cards PSL holders got access to tix sales at the same time as Rams tix holders other than profit for the organization ? Tix that many of them will no doubt scalp at a heinous mark-up for simple profit or to subsidize their insane PSL costs. Even Viking fans deserve to be upset about that. Think about that in The Rams' next game in AZ vs The Cards; thousands of fans watching the game for free because our fans couldn't get through on the phone faster than them to buy quality lower bowl tix for a game their team wasn't even in ? I don't blame the fans at all, btw; I'm sure Ram fans & pro scalpers would be feasting, too, if the situation were reversed.

Far more impressed by the Vikes fans who set up a gofundme to help those affected by the fires than I am by billion dollar corporate entities donating relative pocket change that they will undoubtedly write off on their taxes.

It's not a competition, If the Vikes fan impresses you more that's great. All displays of concern and compassion are welcomed.
Whether or not profit and optics favor the Bidwell family our Ram family directly benefitted in a time of need. Sometimes digging deeper only takes you farther from the surface

Meh. I appreciate what they are doing. But you’re talking about basic fan stuff. Calling other teams by derogatory nicknames is just part of it. That’s not going to change.

I have family in SoCal. Perhaps that has something to do with it, & I'm sorry if anyone here felt attacked by my tone, but I don't think I'm being excessively cynical to doubt the motivation for the "generosity" of corporations and rich old guys, in any case.

Does it mean Bidwill molests collies, as AV would put it ? No, but profit is ALWAYS primary & a chance to polish the NFL's image as good corporate citizens at the same is just a bonus but, behind the scenes, what's best for the fans is never higher priority than profit. Let's see how this board feels when a Rams playoff game is behind a paywall, for example.

Honestly? Anything to help the people who have been affected is good by me, no matter how small. These are human lives we're talking about, and we're all just trying to live on this little blue-and-green ball of life.

Would you rather him/them do nothing while making money indirectly from the game? At least he’s helping out - both our team and the relief efforts. That doesn’t mean he’s a Saint - but nor am I going to ridiculously bash on him for helping.
