I stay quiet on these things cause there is no point but I watched a lot of NE games and I didn't see it. When we got to the end of the year, he had great numbers. Very rarely does he make Stafford like throws in terms of layering the ball. A lot of if was open windows and wr's or te's with shoulder pads facing the qb.
Give them our schedule and the offense would hold them back in a lot of games. He's not bringing them to another level offensively.

Just think if Maye did win MVP. Coach of the year and the MVP putting up a turd and being dominated like that? Wouldn’t have been a good look.

Meanwhile, Maye was able to get 295 yards though most of it was accumulated during garbage time while he led the Patriots with two TDs, two interceptions, and one fumble for a turnover.
Yet, this was your MVP who did this with an extra week of rest? You 23 over privileged voters need to look in the mirror and ask yourselves why you are allowed to vote for an NFL MVP.

The Rams had the #1 offense in the NFL, put up 85 points in three games vs the seahawks and not ONE OL was recognized?
That’s criminal.
When maye DID have time, he either held the ball too long or missed open throws. In a game like that, you can’t miss the layups. There were a couple HUGE plays he failed to convert. Contrast that to some of the throws Stafford made in tight windows versus the seahawks—and everybody else.
Sometimes you play a tough defense. Those guys get paid too.
I know it’s a regular season award, but it took the postseason vs a steady diet of above average defenses to show just how much more maye has to go before he’s even in a positive conversation with Matt Stafford.

Maye had trouble beating a 3rd string QB..... There was no way he was going to beat the Seahawks..... This is what I expected.
I saw Maye in person last year when the Rams played @NE. He impressed me with his running ability, several very nice passes and his effort throughout a game the Rams/Kupp put away in the 2nd half. NE was a good story and had a great draft but I see both Maye and the Pats as up-and-comers but nowhere near the top of the NFL….yet.
From what I observed Maye has a slow delivery on his passes and does not appear to have a lot of zip on the ball. He looked like he was in way over his head. If the Pats played in the NFC West, they would have finished behind the 9ers in 4th place.

I think through the entire first half Maye completed one ball across the LOS. How he ended up with 295 yards is beyond me. I thought he was pretty underwhelming and looked like a second year player.
