Best way to go about it is if you're even a little unsure then don't.
You're correct for the most part. But a lot of guys, especially after a few drinks, don't think straight. The mechanism that is in place to stop that behavior stops working.
Best way to go about it is if you're even a little unsure then don't.
"Just fucking don't" sounds about right to me.Best way to go about it is if you're even a little unsure then don't.
Dudes are creepyFYI the reason I have the feelings I do about this is because of my girlfriend. I've never been cool with guys crossing the line but she opened my eyes even more.
In college and even later she has had her ass grabbed or slapped more times than she can count. She has a fantastic booty, but that doesn't give some drunk icehole the right to grab it or make crude remarks. It's even happened as an adult. A few years back she was out of town for a legal certification class, she is a lawyer, and IIRC she was the only woman there. Now this is a group of professionals that are grown ups.
She got hit on by a few guys during the 3-4 days or whatever in a respectable fashion and when turned down they were polite about it. But she had a few other guys get crude and make remarks that were out of line.
No woman should have to listen to remarks about her body that are put out there in disrespectful and mean spirited fashion. And groping someone is worse.

Waiting for details to come out before jumping to conclusions and calling Rath named.
If true, he should be fired. But I'm willing to wait until more comes out.
Off-season incident from months ago, at a private residence, not a club -- not reading anything into this, yet.

You passed judgement on THill in another thread without waiting for details to come out.
I don't doubt your girl friend's story, Les...But it's an anecdote of her personal experience. It's utter BS to say that every woman should always be believed, because congruent with that is to assume the supposed offender is always guilty. Let the facts speak and justice prevail if possible.FYI the reason I have the feelings I do about this is because of my girlfriend. The fact that it is a misdemeanor hasn't got a single thing to do with payback from a scorned woman or getting attention. If she wanted attention she would be grandstanding and making a spectacle. This happened weeks ago and she hasn't even released a statement...
1. A large majority of the time the woman is telling the truth about sexual harassment, rape, groping and so on.
Says who Les? You?
2. The reason why so many women don't come forward is because too many people have the same attitude that you do. Innocent until proven guilty is MILES away from calling the woman a liar. Which his why I said, "Innocent until proven guilty", Les. Words mean things. And I don't need you to lecture me about "my attitude". Since when are you the arbiter of proper respect toward women?
And no I'm not saying false allegations are never made, but it is way, WAY less than real allegations.
I understand. In my world it is both.Again
Presumption of innocence is the referring to the court of law, not pubic opinion — oops i mean public opinion
There you go with your common sense again, @OldSchoolWaiting for details to come out before jumping to conclusions and calling Rath named.
Just be aware that No they are not. You are advocating "just believe the woman". Which is sexist. Plenty of examples of fake allegations in the news these days. Sex. Race. Be TRULY color blind and non-sexist. Wait for the facts.Just be aware that most of the time these things are true.

By the way, you aren't the only one who has ever had a "hot girlfriend", Les. And from what I have read of you, I treat women with more dignity and respect than you.
Mack,Don't do that.
Keep this about the sensitive topic at hand.
There's already so much we can't talk about because folks go after one another.
That last comment wasn't remotely called for.
Can we stick to the subject?
Or are we just not allowed to have nice things?
Mack,
I didn't appreciate the Pontificating of Les, lecturing me about "my attitude". My comments were just fine, thank you. Maybe you can trace back your analysis to the source.
I agree, this can be sensitive. Which is why I advocated waiting to judge. As we have seen from very recent events, there actually ARE people that will just make crap up to ruin peoples lives. (Jussie Smollott, etc.)
So let's wait, rather than saying the complaints are "probably true".
TAKE THIS THREAD to the Booby Thread!I blame all of you for this. With that booty and boobies page, Coach Rath could not fight temptation.
All kidding aside, I hope it's untrue:
1) A young lady victimized, against her will. Not cool.
2) Think of what you're throwing away Coach Rath. You're a family man. You're one of the best strength and conditioning coaches, an O Line does not stay that healthy through the course of a season by dumb luck.
Fair enough.I was only referring to the part that started with "by the way"
I'm not even trying to get into anything.
The rules of this place are to not go after the poster and stay on topic.
Doing what you did is only gonna aggravate the mods and shut down the thread.
