Not completely unimpeded. He was grabbed initially on his route, and then grabbed again after he turned. It wasn't a whole lot different than the grab on Kupp that got called last year.

I know it sucks that the game is decided by something like that, but the rules gotta apply all 60 minutes.
Not only for 60 minutes but for 22 weeks, not 21. If it's a penalty in week 7, then it's a penalty in the Superbowl. Greg Olsen whining about it ending that way is media BS. Sure FOX doesn't want it to end that way. But thems the breaks.

Sorry, didn't see this earlier. It was not my cup of tea but the younger people that I know didn't like it either.
Go Chiefs!

All good. I knew ppl that liked it. I didn't really care one way or another. Lady Gaga was a gimmick. So was Katy Perry. This was fine.

I know the Mannings disagree, but with a long halftime, there were definitely some adjustments by Reid for the 2nd half ... four possessions, four scores for 24 points. That's pretty much the story of the game. All the Chiefs had to do on D is get one stop, which they did and with the offense rolling, that was it.

The best part of this Super Bowl was the 49ers embarrassingly crumbling and not being in it!

And Deebo saying the 49's could have beat the Eagles by double digits if Purdy didn't get injured. That team just can't go away quietly.

I think it was justifiable. It sucks that the game is marred by that, but he grabbed him, not once but twice.
Reminiscent of Logan Wilson's grab of Kupp in last year's SB. He grabbed Kupp on the chest/arm area and then wrapped his other arm around his waist to impede his progress.

And completely changed Wilson's directional momentum.

Not subtle like the call today.

My take: that was the shittiest ending to a Super Bowl I've ever seen. CB's get away with worse holding on nearly every play. A ticky-tack call decided the SB winner, and that's a shame.

KC Oline, no sacks given up vs the best pass rush defense in the NFL.

Did any one notice that we passed on Creed Humphrey in the draft for Tutu Atwell?

Yes i did.

Not so......the guilty Corner, James Bradberry, admitted publicly that he held Schuster-Smith and was hoping that the refs wouldn't call it.
This man's admission removes all doubt regarding this call.

It looked suspicious to me. The horrible call at the end.(ref paid off ?) Holding should have never been called in that situation.
The last pass of the game Hurt only threw the ball 50 yards in the air with 3 Eagles receivers 10 yards farther downfield.
He had zero pass rush, no one in front and all day to wind up for a throw of only 60 yards in the air to give his guys a shot.
And it was a flat throw of only 50 yards to the grass, his chosen target ?
Look, that guy does not have Pat Haydens arm. He threw it down the middle where no one was at when all he had to do was put some air under it, 10-15 yards farther downfield towards the Chiefs sideline where there were 3 Eagles players who had a shot.
High school quarterbacks could have made that throw. Some armchair quarterbacks could have made that throw.
It looks like Hurt faked it and gave up the chance to win.
And then there is thishttps://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/football-world-reacts-to-leaked-super-bowl-score/ar-AA17dN3a

Only one point off for each team.
