I will be at work in a big old History museum, watching security monitors and doing three roves around the place on Sunday (Work from 12pm to 12am). I'll be alone watching the game while also keeping an eye on the monitors! So I'll be microwaving some taquitos with salsa, sour cream and guac for dipping. I'd really like some Guinness stout and maybe do shots of Makers Mark...

*sigh

A history museum? I hear those things are haunted. Maybe you can have a Superbowl party with some ghosts. I'm sure some of them are Rams fans.

A friend of mine who's picking me up to go to my parents decided that we should make pigs in a blanket for an appetizer. I thought that it was a fucking fantastic idea; I can't even remember the last time I had them.

Add that to the jambalaya, and it's simply...wow. It's going to be a fucking epic Super Bowl.

Well it started with the idea of making paella and now I think my wife and I have transitioned to making steak. We have a sous vide and it makes the most perfect steak. Will serve it with aspargus/brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes with bernaise sauce to cover.

I love my sous vide. We put 4 tri tips in it Sunday for an event we did and then put a quick char on them on the broiler. Absolutely perfect.

I did beef ribs in it for 57 hours then finished on the BBQ. Tender as could be while pull off the bone and still medium rare. Amazing! Like a steak on a bone with all that rib flavor and not greasy at all.

I'll bet your steaks will be perfect.

Which one do you own? I have the ANOVA Precision. I love being able to control it from anywhere and come home to a cut that takes me 5 minutes to finish off.

Off the top of my head I couldn't tell you. I do believe it is that same brand however mine does not have the wifi option to control with phone. I convinced my sister to get one and she has been loving cooking with it. She sent me a picture a few days ago she did a pork loin wrapped in bacon in the sous vide then broiled it in the oven to crisp up the bacon. It looked so good.

We bought this sous vide for my father in law years ago for Christmas. He enjoys to cook so we thought he would think it was pretty neat. Lol he just gave it back to us without ever opening. We use it quite a bit and the food cooked in it is always delicious (I've done brussel sprouts a few times that turn out just amazing).

For Sunday we bought a nice pack of steak from Costco a while ago. We sous vide cooked all of them and then froze so we could pull out, bring to room temperature, sear, and go. Perfection!

I bought one for my dad. All my siblings said he'd never use it. He calls me a couple times a week to ask me about recipes. It's not only been great for him but another excuse for us to get on the phone together.

My mom had an accident a few years ago so he's found himself at 86 learning how to cook for them. It's been a godsend really.

Buy or fashion a skirt for it as any wind really affects them. Otherwise, use them as you would an iron skillet.
