I guess our ideas of family entertainment are different.

I prefer people that can actually write songs, sing and play instruments.

Jim Morrison taking a shit on stage, Ozzy chewing the head off a bat on stage, Keith Moon throwing up all over his drum kit in the middle of a song was considered entertainment back in the 70's..... Not to mention all the weird stuff filmed at Woodstock.

My dad's generation thought our music was all fucked up, and we were all considered devil worshippers.....

Not that I care, really. I don’t watch the halftime show and haven’t since high school. And even in high school I thought it was bullshit.

I didn't say I loved him.

I dug the show.

I would never go to any of his concerts, but I respect and understand the amount of work it takes to put together a show like that.

He's no Taylor Swift but not many are.

The half time shows for me have always been for people who don't like football, the same crowd as the people who "just watch for the commercials."

For me the half time show is for taking a leak and then getting the second half spread of food out. I used to throw a pretty big Super Bowl party every year but got tired of the wives, girlfriends, non-football fans etc. and scaled it back massively about 10 years ago.

I don't see it that way...

The Super Bowl is an event and it attracts all sorts of people, and just because they have interest in shows and the spectacle surrounding the Super Bowl doesn't mean they're not football fans.

I don't expect my friends to approach Rams games the way I do by wearing a full uniform with pads. And I don't think they're any less of a football fan if the come over in shorts and a Van Halen shirt......The more the merrier.

I clearly remember my Dad shooting down some of my pals that served in Desert Storm and how they felt they had an elevated sense of patriotism over a person that didn't serve. He would just drill them. And tell them you're no better than the soldiers you put a bullet in head of so that you could come home. Be proud but don't think you're better.
