Oh, I get it. Trust me. But the tiny voice in the back of my head grew a little louder with the announcement of the Jets big offer (and his sudden interest there, looking like the he chasing dollars), and then a tiny bit more with the reminder of his locker room presence in our very young locker room.

Again, as I said, I'm on board. Just not without reservations.
Believe me I have those same reservations. Just this Idea of Hankins being a better fit is what I don't agree with. Hopefully it will not cost us an arm and a leg for Suh but I trust our GM and our coaches 100%

Jets rescind offer to DT Suh after Johnson's talk with Maccagnan
By Ralph Vacchiano | 6:52PM

ORLANDO -- The Jets had a huge and surprising offer on the table to Ndamukong Suh. But upon further review, they took it back.

Jets owner Christopher Johnson made that stunning announcement on Sunday evening, saying the Jets rescinded their offer to the 31-year-old free-agent defensive tackle. He and Jets GM Mike Maccagnan discussed the offer and decided that Suh "didn't seem to be in keeping with our longer-term plan."

Johnson wouldn't go into many other details about the decision, but added he wasn't involved in the decision to make the offer in the first place. So it sounds like after hearing about the move -- and possibly the generally negative reaction -- Johnson decided he needed to step in.

"Saying I 'stepped in' is somewhat overstating the case," Johnson said at the annual NFL owners meetings at the Ritz Carlton hotel. "But in discussion with Mike, looking into what our plan is, it became apparent to the two of us that this just didn't work."

There are a lot of reasons why it likely wouldn't have worked with Suh, most notably that the Jets have been trying to systematically add younger players to their roster, while the 6-foot-4, 305-pound Suh is entering his ninth NFL season. He also comes with a well-earned label for being a dirty player, and he has the suspensions and fines to prove it.

Even worse, after he was released by the Miami Dolphins, reports emerged that he was considered a bad influence in their locker room, something the Jets certainly don't need after purging most of the players from the locker room mess they endured two years ago.

All of that, of course, begs this question: Why make a big offer to Suh in the first place?

"I think that I had a lot of discussion with Mike about this and I think that our thinking just changed a bit," Johnson said. "That's where I have to leave it."

Makes me doubt this move. I trust this front office but they will Swing and MISS with the best of them. Watkins was a miss that cost a 2nd round pick. Yea we have a comp pick coming back to us ( I think). This Suh deal? I have reservations about delaying the AD extension to sign Suh

This guy has been visiting the Rams for a long time. As Ben Franklin once said, "Guests, like fish, begin to smell after three days."

That’s a lot of people who are very good at roller skating . Loved the older dude with the lights under his skates. Lots of swag in that rink.
I still rock the quads, and I have the lights under my skates lol

Old school nights at the local rink is where you'll find me every weds night along with a bunch of old folks still stuck in the 80s

I know its a movie and a different sport/activity but one of the best movies I've seen this past year is
"The Bronze" a comedy with one of the best and funniest sex scenes ever.

So some here claim Suh is just an edgy player, with no off field garbage other than being a bad driver but the article speaks of him being a locker room problem in Miami. If he is a locker room disrupted than I’d pass. McVay cast off the me players and it was an improvement. The Rams Dline is already very good. Is Suh going to make that big of an impact. 5 sacks a season isn’t that great.

You want a challenger to that record? A little discussion on what is a sport, and what is an activity, and what is a game. I mean, they (used to) call baseball America's game, not America's sport.

I've made some people very angry with this conversation. Apparently telling people that boxing and MMA aren't sports really upsets people.
