Not to be Debbie Downer here, but the Rams haven't won a game yet, so I would love to see us not act like the fans we hate. We are looking damn good.....now we have to frickin wait until August!

This has the potential to just break the game.
I always try to keep calm, but how do you stop that ? How do you provide enough protection to the QB while having enough receivers on the field to be a threat to that secondary.
If McVay and Wade manage to make that group play together, I don't know how you beat that defense. And Wade is aggressive, QBs will play scared and make dumb plays. I just don't know.

Ndamukong Suh agrees to join Rams for one year

The Rams have short-term financial flexibility, so they were able to sign the best remaining free agent.

Per multiple reports, the Rams have agreed to a one-year, $14 million deal with defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.

The Rams can pair him with Aaron Donald on what could be one of the league’s most dangerous fronts, but there’s nothing long-term about their investments.

Donald’s entering the final year of his deal, and they’ll eventually want to extend him.

But for now, the Rams are loading up after trading for cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib.

Suh had also visited the Saints and Titans, but called off a trip to see the Raiders. The Jets pulled their offer before it got to this point.
----------------
Russell Wilson just peed a little.
-----------
Oh boy
-----------
Wow…..Rams are going to be tough to beat
-----------
Hope they lose every game.
----------
So the Rams rent Suh for a year and then get a compensatory pick for him leaving in 2019. That’s a pretty sweet deal.
---------
As a Cards fan who is watching what the Rams are doing, can I just say, “Please stop–this is getting ridiculous. You went 11-5 last year and won the division. This is getting to be overkill.”
---------
Garrapolo, Wilson, and whoever the Cards trot out will collectively piss their pants. Suh, Donald, and Brockers then Peters and Talib. Good luck with that!
-----------
Makes sense for all parties involved. And with Wade Philips coordinating, that defensive front is going to be a holy terror.
----------
I think this is a bad idea for the Rams and a great idea for Aaron Donald. He is in the final year of his contract and pairing him with Suh will allow him to have a very productive season. We all know when a player had a great season during their last year, they ask for more.

After this season, Donald will be the highest paid defensive player ever…. far more than what Dolphins gave Suh. Rams have bunch of players on 1 year deals so my guess is they are gambling in hopes of winning it all this year
----------
Rams look dangerous.
---------
Not sure this formula works but this will be an exciting team, that’s for sure . If they end up with OBJ too , this team’s locker room will look like “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”.
----------
They should have another Hard Knocks.. will be more like a reality show this time. BET, MTV, VH1 type of reality shows with all those type of personalities in that locker room
----------
Just run at these guys all game long. Make Suh and Donald run side to side. Block the hell out of Peters and Talib. One of their egos is going to crack before the game ends, maybe all four. It is not going to work for every team, don’t get me wrong. The Rams are going to win a lot of games this year, but they will not win it all.

They will get exposed a few times this year and then get taken out by a TEAM instead of a collection of individuals with talent. If (when) McVay loses this team it will stunt his growth as a coach for several years while some of the high priced mercenaries and your home grown talent walk off to greener pastures.
----------
Rams are making strong moves to get to the next level. Love ‘em or hate ‘em you gotta admire thier willingness to take risks. It will be interesting to see how they do this year.
----------
Man. On paper this is a very stout team. With Gurley controlling the clock and that D putting a beatdown on people, McVay’s message to Goff will simply be, “Don’t screw this up kid.”
----------
I wonder if Jeff Fisher will take credit for this years Rams team as well.
----------
Unbeaten Season
-----------
Wade’s last Hurrah!

Now or never Rams!
----------
He will be a single gap player in Philips defense, just like he was in Det and Mia. 3-4/4-3 doesn’t really matter, it’s what a players responsibilities are. Wade Philips always puts his talent in a position to succeed.

Bruce Smith, Neil Smith, JJ Watt, and Aaron Donald have all been defensive interior players who have had tremendous success in a Wade Phillips 3-4. This will be no different. He’ll put him in a position to succeed.
---------
Looks like the Rams are trying to win the Super Bowl in 2018.
-----------
Suh is going to a situation that he can produce in. He will have a capable front 7 along with a offense that can move the ball, something the Miami defense rarely had….a offense that could sustain drives.

Good luck big man.

I have friends that are down on all these acquisitions because they are 'locker room cancers'.

Can someone clarify for me on that one?

I know Talib had some off the field issues and towards the end of his time with the Pats it seems I remember him squabbling a bit with Beli.

Then Peters is well documented to be a heated competitor with some questionable on field decisions he's made. No off field to my knowledge. Do teammates from KC not like him?

Suh. He has well documented problems with being too aggressive towards other teams players. However, locker room cancer? Do his teammates of the past not like him. I had a friend saying, oh suh would go against scheme and there are teammates that would get mad at him for that. I can't find anything about it though.

So help me out.

(By the way I'm as Giddy as all of you. I turned on NFL Radio in my car leaving work and it says Rams get Suh!)

Talib was beloved in NE and a Belichick favorite. They were going to try and sign him before the trade went through. He left cuz of money only

The funny part is everyone (reports) thinks because they've done some questionable things on the field that's turned into they are problems off the field and locker room cancers. However, I haven't read anything that says they are a problem as teammates. Only thing I've read or seen is Peters did things because he wanted to win so bad. I would bet money coming to this kind of culture with a team that has a chance to win a SB will fix a lot of issues you hear about. You know the saying, winning cures all...

From what someone posted in this thread we look really good next year with cap space. I'd bet they spread this out with AD so that we have flexibility this year then the real cap hits will start in the next 2-3 years. Kevin is a master of spreading things out to work. I trust them..

OK Ram numbers #93 & 90 are worn by Ethan West books & Micheal Brockers ...so have any guess as to his new number? #98 or #96 or #95 or #94 ?

All I know is that Les Snead is keeping it 100
