As bad as that looked we're still only down by one score. An extra yard on that fake punt throw and who knows where this game would be at.

Ok, just got home. Missed the whole first half driving. Can someone give me a tl;dr of what I've missed? Gurley?

The Steelers run an offense very similar to the GSOT...you line up and you see what's there as the WR and adjust your route to the defense vulnerability!

They only times the GSOT was stopped was when team could get to Warner with the front four.

One other thing...what I thought about Mason and Gurley is already happening...Mason is too good and talented...he's not going to just surrender the spot to Gurley...and so far Mason is the more versatile. He MAKES Pittsburgh adjust on defense.

We are getting our asses kicked but somehow are only behind by 6 at the half.

Down 9-3 ain't bad. Sounds like the defense stiffened up after the TD. Hope the offense can figure this out. Looking at some highlights on NFL Network, the first thing you'll notice is how horrible our coverage has been. Plus, I'm not seeing that good of a push by our 'dominant' D-Line. Also, I'm guessing that the reason why I don't see any offensive highlights is because there are none? Hope we can figure this out or it's going to be a loooong season...

Can't stress how important this first down is. Settle for a FG try here and the steelers have plenty of time for another score.
You didn't stress it enough. Thank goodness the defense held the last 2 minutes!

Do we lead the league in 3rd down conversions against? If not it sure seems like it

So the winning strat for the second half:

1. Defense needs to roll up on the short routes and make Steelers pass protect.

2. Cigs needs to get Gurley in the flow of the game. More Gurley.

3. Cigs needs to take a shot deep here and there. Stretch the field dude!

So, how? Bend but not break D? O line sucking?
We held them to a fg on one drive and stopped the two point conversion on another. Legatron kicked a near 50 yarder. They've had close to twenty offensive plays on our side of the field and we've had like 2 on theirs.

Jenkins had a nice pick.

I see Pittsburgh going back to the quick passing game in the 2nd half. No D-Line push because of the quick passing game by them. Coverage needs to tighten making Ben hold the ball longer so our line can get pressure. We need to score a TD on this opening half drive.
