Bell wont take that risk of giving the Steelers all the power. He shows up week 10

The issue isn’t just what’s the net salary because interim injury can make make any discussions void.

If Earl Thomas has blown out his Achilles, he’d be done or at the very least no one would believe he could get a big deal.

So much of the offense in Pitt flowed through Bell that he has legit concerns he could get out healthy and see a long term deal.

So it's not possible to ignore the risk assessment. If Bell gets injured, sure, he gets all of the $14M, but maybe nothing else. If he sits, he's going to get at least double that in guaranteed money

I'm just glad the Rams don't have any selfish guys on the team . The Steelers in turmoil makes me smile

how is he selfish? he came in last year and played under the tag. played lights out. sure he was disgruntled all season but he showed up and played under their rules. told everyone that would listen that if they couldn't get a long term deal done he wouldn't play under the tag again. so what did the steelers do, they put him on the tag again.

they're fuckwits and i'm so happy it blew up in their faces, the cocksuckers.

Don't forget the story about Bell's agent assuming his 2019 franchise tag salary would be based on his 2018 franchise tag. It sounds like the longer Bell drags this out, the more likely that the Steelers try to tag him again based on his actual 2018 salary (~6 million). If a trade doesn't happen, this is going to end in a lawsuit.

espn are dumb fucks. the tag is either the average of the top 10 salaries in that position or 120% of the players salary, whichever is higher.

don't get information form those fucking idiots.
