Jalen Ramsey has shut-down CB ability, as he has shown the ability to shadow and limit the production of top WRs.
This year, however, he is playing in a role that puts him all over the field and opens up playmaking potential. That has shown on the stat sheet. Here are some of his numbers"
68.4 passer rating allowed when targeted
3 interceptions
8 passes defended
6 tackles for loss (1st in NFL among DBs)
4.2% missed tackles (extremely low for a player who is on the field for most every snap and makes tackles in space)
This week, he'll need to keep an eye on two guys. The first is Deebo Samuel, who has been the 49ers' most targeted receiver by far (81 of 251 team targets) and has hurt the Rams in the past. The other is George Kittle, who is back from injury.
I'm betting he's going to have another big game this week.
