Og Okoronkwo finally got healthy & is a much better overall player than Terrell Lewis as the top backup OLB'er. Then Justin Hollins also go over his injury & was the opening season starter @ OLB'er with Floyd. As you recall the Rams were in a very bad way @ OLB'er with Lewis being the forced starter due to injuries of Og & Hollins.
Rams will need to sign either Og or Von period. Letting Von Miller go after just a half-season .....just does not feel or look right to me. I would put Von way ahead of UFA's like Austin Corbett, Darious Williams, Brian Allen, Sony Michel & Og.
LT Joe Noteboom & ER Von Miller are my top two who must resign. It's going to really hurt to lose Odell Beckham, Jr. but the truth is McVay has invested in 3 wideouts who are sitting on the current IR in Robert Woods, 2021 top draft pick TuTu Atwell & Jacob Harris.
I don't have anything positive to post on Lewis @ OLB. I do think that the highly probable return of OLB Justin Hollins & Chris Garrett along with the easy signing of Justin Lawler provides enough depth. Snead is sure to hear from LB'ing coach Shula on the need to draft an edge rusher after depending on Lewis for a 2nd season @ OLB!
Well, I don't think there's any question that Von Miller & Noteboom are at the top of our re-sign list, so OBO Okoronkwo is the likely odd man out at OLB. Lewis has 2 years remaining on his contract and I'm expecting him back to compete with Hollins & Garrett in 2022 as long as his health holds.
OBj & Allen may be right behind Von Miller & Noteboom in importance for next up re-signings, and I have Sony Michel & Corbett pulling up the rear if we can afford to keep them, ... the remainder of our soon to be eligible free agents can walk imo.
Once again I'd like to see our next draft concentrate on the OL, ILB, CB, S & TE, with secondary priorities at RB.
