I don't know if you caught Troy Aikman saying this weeks ago....It might have been during our three game skid in November, but he made a declarative statement that "Dream Teams Never Work." Of course that's a code phrase for a team trying to buy a championship and the rest of the NFL laughs when they fail. It's so hypocritical when most teams try to get the best FA they can afford. We just have a GM and President who get these things done

What the hell, Troy, are you gonna own that shyte now?
Yeah I remember him saying that. Going back to that Eagles 2011 team where their QB had sort of joked out that phrase once in an interview and it stuck via the media. A few of their top trades failed, either bad play or injuries, and they had no chemistry. Lost a lot of games and got raked for that. We know the Rams situation is different in that everyone's for the team and the chemistry is working. I think of this as more of a dream season. Troy may own it at some point though...he seems to be the type to mention his previous misjudgements.

I think Troy is actually pretty tight with Stafford and his family. And Robert Woods is legit his favorite player in the whole league.

That said, I don’t think Troy was the biggest fan of the OBJ acquisition. He was blaming some of Stafford’s November struggles on trying to force Odell the ball. He’s since kinda pivoted on OBJ but I could tell he was not a fan of the move when they made it.

Also, that was probably Aikmans last game at Fox. Apparently Amazon is gonna back the Brinks truck up for he and Al Michaels to be their main duo when Amazon starts airing games next year.

With all due respect, screw Aikman.

So nice to see Nick Scott getting the love. Well deserved.
Since getting in the starting lineup he's been amazing. Next year is the last of his rookie deal so would be nice to keep him around!

Nick Scott has been balling. His last 3 playoff games is the best safety play we've had all year IMO. He's been better than Fuller. All season long Fuller maybe flashed two times, Scott has made like 5 huge plays in the last 3 weeks. Its incredible.

Also no coincidence the defense got better once Rapp went down too. I think we start Scott at FS and Weddle at SS for the Super Bowl 100%.

Yeah Scott has been amazing! I was saying on another board that our starting safeties last night were a guy retired for 2 years and a 7th round pick that before the last few weeks was a career ST guy. So awesome to see him step up. Still not sure why Morris keeps misusing Rapp but it is what it is.

Nick Scott, our new Jj3?
Maybe so.

I'll say the guy is menacing as hell. Look at him from the QB's perspective he looks like a LB back there. The guy is put together like a backer, he's built to be physical. Might be more of a Ronny Lott type. And before anyone gets excited I'm not saying he's gonna get there, just from that type of guy who will lay you on your ass or play on the ball.

Having some menace over the top is kind of cool.

Yea idk either..maybe Morris was just trying to find the right formula to use given all his chess pieces. Sure took him a while to figure it out, but at least we're peaking at the right time. Scott and Weddle at safety is a no brainer for the SB at this point. But maybe if Rapp comes back we use him as a 3rd safety down in the box in sub-packages and make sure Reeder is off the field. Kinda weird Rapp missed 3 weeks with a concussion though, thats not good. Probably a neck or more significant injury than we've let on.

If Nick Scott keeps playing as he has during the last 3 games he just might start trending into Toby Wright's territory...Toby only complete two starting seasons for the Rams as a starter until he tore up his knee....

Wright was something man. I am definitely a fan of safeties who will lay you the fuck out. I think that fear across the middle thing is underrated in this modern era.

Never forget that play when he blew up Tiki Barber. Took him a full season to recover from that. His teammates gave him a hard time for getting intimidated on that shot.
