I hope so. I think he still brings a lot to the team.Yeah - I don’t either. But they could eat a fair chunk instead of outright releasing him and picking up almost the entire tab if he decides he wants a ring instead of a big contract.

Yeah ... I was just hoping Spotrac would come closer to OTC's # instead of the other way because that would have meant more 2025 cap space for the Rams to work with. They usually come to a similar number after a few adjustments.
He's my favorite Rams QB of all time, personally.Stafford continues to impress.
For sentimental reason and nostalgia its Roman Gabriel for me. But yeah, Stafford's becoming a favorite now. He's my favorite Rams QB of all time, personally.
Yeah, it was definitely a stressful negotiation for us fans, but it worked out great in the end. Fan favorite stays a Ram on a team friendly deal and gets a slight raise. Kinda amazing he is staying with us for less than $50M.This deal solidified it for me - Stafford #1. I wavered that week leading up to the decision for him to return. Now seeing the team friendly nature of this deal, I’m back on the Stafford train.
That screenshot still says only 40.9 Million hitting the cap. There was even a write-up that it was only 40.9 million.View attachment 70793
According to this screenshot, Stafford will be under contract with the Rams at the age of 46 in 2034!
With a base salary of zero AND a cap hit of zero!
YEAH BABY!!!

Uh... the point of my post was to make a joke about the void years and how "technically" MS is under contract through 2034.That screenshot still says only 40.9 Million hitting the cap. There was even a write-up that it was only 40.9 million.
Was that premature?
"It's going to be the Bobby Bonilla deal of the NFL" - Rams Front OfficeAccording to this screenshot, Stafford will be under contract with the Rams at the age of 46 in 2034!
Never got to experience the Gabriel days. Always good to chat with the Rams fans who've been hanging around through it all.For sentimental reason and nostalgia its Roman Gabriel for me. But yeah, Stafford's becoming a favorite now.
Gabriel was always my favorite growing up. Warner passed him up for me. Now Stafford is definitely making a case to be that guy.For sentimental reason and nostalgia its Roman Gabriel for me. But yeah, Stafford's becoming a favorite now.
I didn’t see the Rams doing the same with Kupp but…I can't see Dolphins cutting Ramsey and eating all his cap hit.
You could be correct.Ramsey isnt going to take a pay cut to go back to LA, and at 31 he isnt worth the contract he has that pays him 18-20 mill
The only problem with being patient is it takes so damn long.
1 year left on kupps contract. Ramsey's contracted thru 2028I didn’t see the Rams doing the same with Kupp but…
Actually I was asking the board their thoughts ... not just yoursUh... the point of my post was to make a joke about the void years and how "technically" MS is under contract through 2034.
So no, I don't know the specifics of the cap hit from that screenshot. Sounds like the cap hit has been adjusted on cap sites a few times already today, as this thread documents.![]()
