If you're talking about Detroit you also have to count all the games that they were not just behind in but then lost. Which were really a lot.Huh, why it doesnt count? Guy has the MOST 4th quarter comebacks of any QB in the last 7-8 years whatever it is, those don't count either???
That’s interesting. How is panicky manifested for you?Stafford tends to get panicky after a turnover!!! It's noticeable too. Go back and look...it's a glaring thing...his play drops off considerably.
He tends to get rid of the ball instead of throwing it. It was quite obvious against SF.That’s interesting. How is panicky manifested for you?
How is it glaring?
Thats just so untrue, he is actually GREAT at putting the turnovers behind him. Again Baltimore game says hello....and he should have had the same outcome last week if the D holds....He tends to get rid of the ball instead of throwing it. It was quite obvious against SF.
Let me say again though...I'm happy with Stafford. He can sling it with the best...BUT...I can't close my eyes to that which I see.
He doesn't seem to be able to put the TO behind him and just play.
The fact is...the stats bear out what I'm saying. As long as Stafford is on he's great...BUT...after a turnover it seems he loses some confidence.
Sorry...I don't see the same thing...so to each his own.Thats just so untrue, he is actually GREAT at putting the turnovers behind him. Again Baltimore game says hello....and he should have had the same outcome last week if the D holds....
When Stafford throws a pick the Rams are 6-5.I’m worried more about the defense than Stafford.
Sorry...I don't see the same thing...so to each his own.
In fact...it would be fair to say Stafford crumbled against SF.
Take a good look at Stafford numbers after a TO...they are not good.
4 interceptions in first 8 games. Rams 7-1.When Stafford throws a pick the Rams are 6-5.
We know Stafford's a gunslinger...and I'm really fine with that...but let's be honest...17 picks are a lot.
Earlier in the week Rosenthal article on the QBs put Stafford at #8...and I think that's fair. He also pointed out Stafford's drop off after a TO...that too...is fair!
NEVER ONCE said the Rams were better off without Stafford. I started the thread simply stating some things he's done scares me with the Cards game coming up.Stafford has had some horrible 1st halves, still best rating in 2nd half, and yes he was the main reason the rams lost a few games but to think we'd be better off without him, is absurd.
He's top 5 in just about every metric in just his first year here and I defy anyone to show how any available qb would have been an improvement.
The defense crumbled more than Stafford against the niners.
