What are the numbers? I will remain suspicious of our RB room until I see some extended consistency but I will also be optimistic

In the Super Bowl, starting inside the 5 yd line, Michel got them out with one inside run getting out close to the 25 yard line giving Stafford room to work. That was a key play that helped win them a Lombardi.
Michel had two carries in the Super Bowl, one for 3 yards (from the 28 yard line) and one for -1 yards (from the 42).

Nice addition, like others I was surprised they didn’t keep him for such a meager amount.

I really don’t think this affects Akers touches except maybe a few short yardage TD opportunities.

Like this signing. We needed a short yardage goaline back, and Sony is a vet ...

Some nice competition at RB now. Kyrin, Zack and Sony will battle for 2-4 on the depth chart, and Rivers would make a solid guy to stash on the practice squad.

"In his rookie season, Michel rushed for a career-high 931 yards and six touchdowns while the Patriots went on to win Super Bowl LIII against the Rams." Let's hope a functional OL can reignite this guy.

Interesting.
Man.. the final 53 is going to be a tough one to predict.. but.. they ain't going with 7 WRs, that's for sure.

Thank fucking God. One move that has instantly solved the depth issue for what happens if Akers can't go. I am a happy fan to see this.

Welcome back Sony you fucking stud you. Glad to have you back onboard. :part:

It certainly won’t hurt the Rams and I kinda like it, however, I’d dispells my theory that they would not sign any stop gap vets that aren’t long term prospects (2+ year). But wtf do I know. michael Brockers and Robert Quinn where ru?

The beauty of this move is if Sony gets beat out by the kids it's a good thing and that competition worked. If not it's a good thing they added him. This isn't a move that will get press but by God it was a big 'un.

Two things…

1. I suspect that coach Ron Gould had a lot of input into this RB move. And that’s a good thing.

2. I also think that this is further evidence that Rams intend to be more physical this year on O.

New coaches everywhere that have an ‘attack’ mentality.

Rams may be young but I also think that they will be scrappy and competitive.

I’m loving it!

I guess we will need to look at the contract but much like the two WRs we just signed, there's no guarantee he makes the 53. He's there if we need him but a good portion of his value (like theirs) will come from getting the practice reps we need in and showing the young'uns how to practice too.

Pass protection.
When it comes to this offense, you block or you don’t play.

Stafford must not get killed or maimed.
The young backs always seem to ride the pine in McVay’s offense because the aren’t reliable enough in pass protection.
That was another reason why Gurley was so valuable.
…and Faulk.
…and SJ39.

When it comes to McVay, you block or you don’t play.
