Jackson had all day back there. Any type of pressure at all yesterday , and it’s a win.
Can anyone who watched the game closely weigh in on how Young and Hoecht were held in check when Donald was being triple teamed?

I'm not sure if all in is even needed at this point. The rams have drafted so well the last couple of years they could get away with a splash signing or two and finish it off with the draft. One thing I'd like to see is more depth along both lines.
I actually kinda like the depth on the oline right now. If we can resign Dotson and draft a LT we'd be perfectly set. I think we can move on from Noteboom's contract, AJax could be our 5th lineman and play everything but center and we already have some interesting developmental guys.

Now Dline... ooophf, we need an influx there.

I will say that B Brown is turning into a legit rotation player, a great development.

But, yeah.. I think a draft pick and a lower-price FA addition here would be good.

Completely agree on the Oline stuff.. would also move on from Allen and draft a center.. while keeping Shelton, if he's very, very reasonable.

I thought Young got pulled a few times. He didn’t look good IMO.

If Morris isn't hired and I doubt he will be (his performance as a HC and DC are uninspiring) it will be time to promote him to consultant like they did with Kromer. They then can promote Pleasant to DC.

Two things stand out when I look at the situation. Raheem was brought in to build off of Staley's work and that hasn't happened. In fact the reverse has been true. He's had 3 years but it's been a steady decline. Kroenke can see how his bend don't break BS costs games. If Kroenke is unhappy and don't think he doesn't make his feelings known to Snead, then Morris will be gone. IMO the obvious scenario is....

1. Why would Pleasant return unless he was made certain promises?
2. Why was Jimmy Lake hired and given the "don't poach me" designation of assist HC? Lake is an assistant to Pleasant so why does a position coach need a veteran position coach assistant?

Promoting Pleasant while keeping Morris on the staff serves a few purposes. It avoids the Rooney Rule issue, Lake is then promoted to secondary coach.

Raheem isn't fired but after his fourth year his contract is deemed expired. It preserves his reputation for McVay's buddy. It also allows Raheem to shop himself during that 4th year potentially giving the Rams comp picks if hired in 2024 or 2025.

Well that is at least my hope because I don't see a DC who took a #1 defense and immediately tanked it into the bottom half of the league as viable HC material. IMO Brian Flores becomes a HC before Raheem.
Total batshit insanity with a complete detachment from reality.

I can answer one of the silly questions very easily... Pleasant got fired last year, mid-season. He needed an offing job.

You have a serious, SERIOUS problem.

Until I saw the ST snaps, I had completely forgotten about Anchrum too. I agree we're doing well on depth.

Xavier Smith has field flipping speed (4.44) and has returned kicks in college. Why they gave it to Trammell has been a head scratcher all season. Time to at least try Smith out. Trammell is slow for a returner (4.62) or even a WR at 5'10".
The fact that Smith couldn't get playing time over Trammell makes me luke warm at best in terms of hoping he can do something for us.
They let Brandon Powell go. He was a pretty good returner.
Just seems like special teams skills are not a priority to McVay when he stacks the bottom of the roster. It is one of his weaknesses I think. And it is why he burns through ST coordinators. Those guys are dependent on players just like any other coordinator.

First, apologies to John Johnson III. Looking at All-22 it was Yeast who was
on the #2 receiver. Johnson was in the box.

On TV could not tell.

Yeast sees the guy, points to his right...seems like signal to Fuller
"Hey you have that guy, I am locked on #2"
Could also be on Jones ... the motion took it from 2x3 to 3x2
On right side Spoon can match the inline TE, Johnson the back
Jones the right flat ....like that.

As it turned out Jones and Johnson were on the RB if he came out

It's play-action... but not knowing the call...

Also, as I said Yeast motions to Johnson...but he also takes step outside
thinking maybe he should get out there.

That safety is who i suspect, but don't know for sure
Last week is was Johnson and Fuller
this week Yeast and Fuller and Jones (maybe him last week, too, he's got to see and call)

Hamilton was a big loss for the Ravens. Guy is such a stud. I'd love to see us find a player like that for this defense.

The Rams now have a top 10 offense. With a healthy Kyren all season.. easy to believe would’ve been top 5.

Amazing what a difference one player makes.

I hope they keep all 4 RB's this offseason.

RB1 Williams
RB2 Freeman
RB3 Rivers
RB4 Evans or ???

If Williams can stay healthy and fresh the Rams are sitting at a great spot at the RB position.
