I guess we're fucking sticking with Blackburn as our coordinator!

That was a total win on special teams. EE pinned them deep when needed, Karty didn't miss a kick, Ward with solid snaps, and X-man with the huge punt return (and credit the punt block team for walling off the 69ers legally). It's amazing what an actually good young kicker can do.

Yeah as only wish is I hope that Karty will somehow have kickoffs on his plate before the season ends. No offense to Ethan. As really Karty can also kick it in the back of the end zone too.
But still may for the time being, want to just have him focus on both extra points and field goals.
Still he injured his groin as despite reports saying he did so in the loss to the Cardinals but heard it was before that in preseason.
Still think that if they want to kick it out of the endzone, give it to Ethan. But hopefully Karty will be taking over kickoffs as really think he can kick them out of the endzone as well. Just saying.

if both are kicking it out of the end zone, why do you want Karty out there? If one kickoff gets returned I would rather have our punter trying to make a tackle vs Karty.

Yeah there's no need to change anything, don't try to fix what isn't broken.

It's just that at first I thought Karty would be handling kickoffs as maybe both McVay and Blackburn said so in preseason as maybe when Karty got injured in preseason that it made sense that Ethan was handling kickoffs until Joshua got well. Heard per Jordan Rodrigue as well.

Joshua handled all but two kickoffs in the preseason. Bear in mind.
I would rather have Ethan tackle than Karty lol

Amazing how much better our ST looks with a real kicker and a real punt returner again.
We haven't had both since Powell and Matt Gay were here.

I believe that was the plan because Karty placed the ball better, however, with the injury and the one kickoff in preseason that came up shot, the Rams went to Evans, who is just booting every kickoff out of the end zone, which in now the preferred option.

Ok but really for the time being may just want him to heal and focus on extra points and field goals

“Patience Grasshoppers”. Rams have problems but Coaching ain’t one of them. CB1, OT, Another Alpha WR/TE are.

Les needs to get him a returner next draft. There is no reason to keep overlooking the returner function. Take a 6th rounder or whatever and spend it on the best returner on the board when that pick is up.

Scott Frost was a lame duck special teams coach and it showed

Just look at the improvement.
the last few weeks ? Maybe I’m bitter at times.

Karty and his confidence is huge.Evans is a STUD as Rams coaches say about players. For a Punter(kickoffs) he squats more than any other Rams. SO I’m guessing pound for pound he is a freaking stud.

You look back at The Rams Super Bowl run & there has to be a lot of credit for doing what your saying now.
Having Cooper Kupp as a PR guy was silly IMO. Funny how Hoecht played such a big part of teams as well. - Brown coming back, and how he shined under Mcvay going back to that first Super Bowl when he got hurt against Detroit that year.C J Anderson was a blessing though.

WHAT ??? Guess the question should be what will The Rams do at CB next season???

Your saying there’s that big of a GAP that The Rams coaches aren’t going to sign a TOP CB ??

Whatever that was ? IMO The Rams are set a CB & the coaching staff are going to coach these players up. So Whiterspoon isn’t going to get a contract extension???

I’d also say CB without Whiterspoon was a problem. Plus when D. Williams was hurt it exposed T. WHITE !! I’m also not saying problem solved, but I’ll guarantee YOUR FAV (Derion)CB will be back in 2025.
Cobie Durant ?? What happens there ? Plus add E.Forbes and

YOUR ALREADY CRYING??? Your saying what about The Rams coaches ? There bring this SQUAD BACK in 2025 & this is the PROBLEM???

Just wondering what side to you speak from ?? Either way this is the way I see it. The Rams coaches have there work cut out for them.

Interesting The Rams didn’t make much noise on Aukerman being hired & Scott Frost leaving The Rams early December.

Where is Jourdan Rod our reporter on this ?? Instead of digging up garbage.Seems like this could have fit both dirt & a positive story.
Who knows with this move how SAFE Chase Blackburns job is ??

You can still coach them up to not be terrible. Coaching should be able to make the players even average on coverage.

yeah you no matter how bad the players are he should be able to coach them to not get penalty on half the returns

I still wonder what Chase Blackburns future is ? Ethan Evan’s is going to get paid as a punter come 2 years.
