Russell had like 5 hall of fame players on his team - one was a 6th man

He was great but it was the team that made that team that much better.

And I agree - fuck the Celtics

Magic - GOAT (okay maybe not but damn he was fun to watch)

I’m with you on Magic. No one else could do all of the things that Magic could.

He even played center during a championship series and won.

I was hoping no one would call me out on that. Haha.
A pretty thin roster in Cleveland.
He never won with that thin roster tho...and only returned when like 26 yr old reigning Allstar game mvp kyrie was there and promptly forced a trade for perennial Allstar kevin love...

I honestly hear ya tho ...LBJ is great I just think the newer guys are softer and building their own all star teams...keep in mind I only remember Jordan playing with the wizards as I was like 4 years old in 96...so I’ve seen much more of LBJ just idk I miss the days of the rivalries and hating your opponent

I consider myself GOAT agnostic. I don’t think you can compare players in completely different eras. The competiton and other factors are completely different.

As a Laker fan though I would never put Worthy in the class of player that Lebron is. Worthy was highly dependent on Magic’s ability to run the fast break and his assists. He is no where near the outside shooter or passer that Lebron is.

And I’m not a Lebron fan.

Since Magic would still control the ball Lebron couldn’t fill the need that Worthy did. And he would want to clog Kareem’s space.
Bro what!?! If you can’t find a spot on the floor for Lebron freakin James because he doesn’t fit your need ....you need to reevaluate. Keep in mind I’m actually a lebron hater tbh I can’t stand the way he acted with the decision but come on..:.he is literally one of the best players to ever lace em up and worthy ain’t keepin him off the floor especially with his passing and defense in what has essentially become position-less basketball...that being said...I’ll take Michael and Kobe before him in the goat talk. As far as the lakers conversations you can have magic Kareem I’ll take Lebron Shaq

Magic, Kareem, West, Koby, Chamberlain, Mikan

I’d put all of these guys in front of Lebron for best all time Lakers.

1) Magic (only player to play all 5 positions in a Finals) He literally could do it all
2) Kareem Abdul Jabbar
3) Kobe Bryant
4) Wilt Chamberlain
5) Elgin Baylor
6) Jerry West
7) Shaquille O'Neal
8) LeBron James
9) George Mikan
10) James Worthy
Hon Mention: Pau Gasol

As a fan of the Lakers since 1973...first team I ever rooted for...

LeBron would be higher if we meant his entire career, but just for his time with the Lakers... yeah, that's about right.

As for slotting him into the Showtime Lakers, Lebron wouldn't have to start over Worthy. He would take the PF, Rambis/AC Green's spot easily. 80's Lakers never had an-all time great PF, so there you go. Then if you want to get real clever, slot Kobe in at Nixon's/Scott's SG spot.

To each his own but I’m going to guess you’re younger than me and really didn’t see much of Showtime when Magic was running things in LA.

Lebron is good but his ego would not have allowed him to play the role that Worthy filled.

I’m not saying who has the most individual skills. Two different aspects.

Yea I was going to bring up Kobe but didn't want to sound like a homer. Whenever I do that here in Texas I get laughed at. Apparently some of them think Dirk Nowitski is same level as Kobe.

The fact that Kobe won two with the likes of Gasol, Odom and Bynum after winning 3 with Shaq cemented his greatness. But mostly its his ability to raise his game when the pressure was on. Hitting huge shot after pressure shot and finding a way to get to the line and hit his buckets in crunch time. Magic was a better overall player but Kobe was an unbelievable scorer and competitor. There is no one else I would want with the ball in his hands in crunch time then Kobe, with the exception of Jordan.

That would be an awesome all time Laker team but replacing Worthy with Elgin

Magic Kobe Elgin Lebron Kareem

with Wilt Worthy West Goodrich Mikan backing them up

FYI - West & Wilt was hard to leave off the starting team

This thread should be re-titled to best Laker players lol

Yeah - OKAy - tell Derick Fisher about winning.Kobe never won nothing without him. Just sayin.
Then again what has MJ & Kobe won without Phil ??

Tell Magic his big SIS just won it all after she Phil left her.Got rid of her real blood bro & then you walkout on her. Which actually was the best thing you could’ve done.

BTW- DJ wearing a Dodgers hat to
SOFI ? Now that’s Ganster ? Really ??

Oh - yeah — BTW - KOBE was always a class act. Could’ve been a Clipper, but stayed true to Jeanie & Laker Nation.

Passing the torch to Labron with his daughter in the house showing LB his Prop’s & LB doing the The Same.

Much Love!!! Good luck for anyone beat Wilt’s 100. Kobe 81.

Labron will be The Goat & take over
Kareem Abdol-Jabbar’a All-Time

Al Davis used this site to F” LA Fans
Suing The NFL & moving the Raiders to Oakland.

Now The Rams & Chargers are playing at HOLLYWOOD PARK in SOFI.
Raiders are in Vegas.
