Everyone talks about rings.....
Bill Russell won 11 titles in 13 years.
Robert Horry has the second most all time with 7 rings.

Lebron isn’t even the best Laker of all time, might not make the top 5.

Magic, Kareem, Koby

Would he even start on the Magic/Kareem teams??
Magic, Kareem, West, Koby, Chamberlain, Mikan

I’d put all of these guys in front of Lebron for best all time Lakers.

LeBron the GOAT?

Jordan: Hold my cigar.
I knew this would happen, I did say MAYBE the greatest. Regardless Lebron’s on the list somewhere, all I was saying is how far down on the greatest wrs of all time do you have to go before you get to Jackson?

I don't care what anyone says, Desean could do big things with us lol. Obviously not Lebron, but Stafford will appreciate his presence for sure

I would place Wilt Chamberlain above LeBron. Not as many championships, but the dude was so much better than everyone else and even could stick with Kareem as an old man in the early 70's (Lakers v. Bucks)

Bill Russell is the GOAT, in my honest opinion. Then Jordan, then Magic and Bird (tied), and finally, Oscar Robertson (who averaged a triple double in his career) - a feat not equaled by anyone).

Russell was a great player on a great team, but was not the GOAT. Chamberlain played for Philadelphia and scored more than 100 points, as one of his accomplishments. The rules changed because of of Wilt the Stilt = GOAT

And yet Russell led the Celtics to eleven titles. Wilt Chamberlain was definitely the second best center behind Russell, but Russell's the main reason why the Celtics won so much - something that Wilt, despite his 100 point game, never did.

All that says is that Russell was maybe a better team player, but not that Russell was the GOAT.

Besides, fuck the Celtics.

Russell had like 5 hall of fame players on his team - one was a 6th man

He was great but it was the team that made that team that much better.

And I agree - fuck the Celtics

Magic - GOAT (okay maybe not but damn he was fun to watch)

ok, it's offseason, no Rams signing news, so:

Wilt was a freakishly dominant athlete. Early in his career he was so physically overpowering it is unreal. I mean the man averaged 50+ points a game one year and who knows how many rebounds and blocks-- they didn't even keep stats on them for a long time. No one could stop him. Later in his career with the Lakers he couldn't move as well because of his knees, but played a better team game by concentrating on defense, rebounding and assists, and still dominated.

Chamberlain and Bill Russell were both tremendous athletes who could have competed at a world class level in track events including in Russell's case the high jump had they so chosen. Russell was the greatest defensive player of all time and the only man with more championship rings than fingers. No one will ever touch that.

Have to give a shout out to Elgin Baylor too. Young people now have no idea how good he was. Baylor pioneered athletic scoring moves around the basket that inspired others like Connie Hawkins, Dr. J, and later players including Kobe, and was by far the best offensive player in the league until Wilt. He had a LeBron-like physicality too, and though not as big was a great rebounder. Baylor was the best player on the Lakers until bad knees slowed him down too.

Is he on the list? Not for me.
