Stafford is probably a top 10 QB but like some of us have said, coming to the Rams is a game changer in many ways for him. There's a lot more pressure on him now, to get this team to the Super Bowl, and one that is being played in their own stadium, and the first year that fans can attend games. Team's media and promotion department are going to be hyping up this team's championship chances like it's their birthright this year. Which wasn't ever something Stafford had to play with in Detroit.
Agree with others that Simms endorsement is something we don't need. I don't think he ever ranked Goff as a top 20 QB in the NFL, which means he always considered him a below average starter. Like most of Goff's detractors, he decided what Goff was and wasn't capable of early on, and never moved off it.
But it wasn't just Goff. He's passive aggressive and mocking of a lot of QBs in the league, including Blake Bortles when he was here. And there was the time on his radio show in which he called McVay a cheater and his pre snap communication with Goff was "unethical".
Stafford is a top ten QB with a big gun, but fk Chris Simms and anything he has to say about the Rams.
