I'm training to be an obtuse, over-the-top, controversial sports writer:

INDY vs. DAL in Super Bowl
DAL World Champions!!

You heard it here first, folks!!!
(man, I'm gonna love it if this happens and I can declare myself the Ultimate Football Genius!! Of course, if it doesn't happen, I'll just fade away into the media abyss until next year... when I can make more moronic claims!!)

For the wild card weekend......

I am rooting for season ending contusions, lots of them.

Call me insensitive if you wish, IDC

A guy at work bet one of my guys $25 (with a $250 payout, not sure how they determined the odds) that it would be Seahawks v Ravens. We laughed at him. I think he picked the Ravens to win it. I sincerely hope he's not the "genius".

Don't take that the wrong way, I think the Bears are one hell of a team, but I'm just reading how so many Ram fans don't want to play them and my feeling is, you have to punch the bully in the mouth. If Chicago beats the Rams they beat them, but I'm not rooting for the Eagles so the Rams don't play the Bears. My feeling if the Rams can beat Chicago, they can beat New Orleans too.
I'm with you @den-the-coach I want us to win our way to the Super Bowl by playing and beating the best teams... not because we didn't play someone

I do hope we draw the Bears.

I want the haters and doubters to feel extra stupid when a team they predicted to be one and done goes all the way and hoists the Lombardi.

Tough to go against the Saints. They are one of the most complete teams in many years.

Rams can beat them though.
Yup have to play mistake free football to beat them at home. It's a long road to the championship game tho. A lot can happen from this weekend on

I like this quote, with halftime score today 21-0 Colts over the Texans:
" The one team I could see making a surprise run is the Texans, who have the kind of tremendous veteran leadership you need to win on the road in the playoffs."

So far the SI.com picks are 10-14. Most picked the Texans and the Seahawks to win. Not off to a very good start.

Can we be somewhat realistic here???

I think it's fair not to pick the Rams...until the Rams defense shows they can stop the run...BUT...that doesn't mean the Rams can't win it all...it simply means it's tougher for them.

My main worry about my Rams in these playoffs...IS DEFENSE...REAL TALK!!!

I counted 7 that already blew it on wildcard weekend. I love them hating us. Keeps us silent but deadly. Something to prove.

It's not all about defense, as three of the top defensive teams in the NFL lost this weekend. The Rams are playing in LA or in dome stadiums the rest of the way and we have arguably the most creative offensive coach in the NFL right now and weather is not a factor. "Experts" rarely use context as for the reason why a disfavored team (like the Rams) lost, just that they lost. The only loss that I can't explain is the loss to the Iggles, but the other two have reasoning as to why they lost, but you will never hear those reasons, because the Rams were old news after the loss to the Saints. We were the old narrative and they were bored with it. That's why I'm excited about the next game, because we should see a Rams team in all their glory, destroying opponents. This is being real, as well. Choose your own "reality," bro.

Your point is well taken. However let's not forget 3 of the teams in the hunt defeated the Rams...only one lost yesterday.

I'm well aware of the Rams capabilities as well as aware of their problems stopping the run defensively. I'm concerned about that because it remains to be seen that Wade can address it.

Need we forget just like Chicago beat the Rams, Dallas beat the Saints? It's playoff time...and the temp goes up...so just like the Charger defense stepped up against Lamar...the Ram defense must step up against Dallas who wants to run Elliott and keep the Ram offense off the field.

The talking heads/analyst have their view based on stats...BUT notice I made the point that the Rams can win it all! While I voice my concern...that doesn't mean the Rams can't win...it's the reality of how they could lose.

I'M RAMS ALL THE WAY...don't get it confused! I dont just "rah rah" my team without acknowledging their weaknesses.

Yes, and the losses to those three teams can be explained with one word.

Turnovers.

No.

Turnovers are part of the reason. An offensive turnover doesn't mean you lose. Turnovers that become points cause losses. If you don't want to acknowledge our Rams defense has had problems stopping the run, that's fine.

I'm right there with every Ram fan wanting that SB Trophy.. and I want them playing their best ball. That's why I made my point.

Their picks suck. 9 have us playing the Bears, while 4 have us playing the Seahawks in the divisional round. A monkey flipping a coin would at least have been right 50% of the time.
