I didn't like the Tutu pick either, and was really hoping for a Center. I just don't feel the need to keep telling everybody, at every opportunity. It is in the past, and I have let it go.
Good for you, but for others just like the like the 2001 SB cheated from this organization it’s going to be brought up. Especially when people are “ why don’t we have quality offensive linemen?” Or “ we are over the cap and have nobody” now you know why.

“We should take a center. Creed Humphrey looks good.”

“We took Tutu Atwell!?! Dang… could have had Humphrey. Well…I hope it works out.”

“Seems like Tutu is struggling. Hope they can find a role for him. Sucks that we missed on Humphrey. That guy’s really good.”

“Looks like we really missed on this one.”

- 98% of Rams fans.

“I told you we should have taken Humphrey. Now you see that I’m right. I have superior knowledge so you should always listen to me. Now we have a losing record and it’s all because of that one mistake!”

- The other 2%

I don't make steak for vegans, and I don't post witty comments for your benefit.

Let's just leave it at that.

I understanding not liking the pick, but continuing to cry about it, at every opportunity, 2 seasons later is a little much. Honestly, not trying to be a dick here, but what is the point of constantly bringing it up?

The Creed stuff sort of reads to me like a running joke. And Tutu not being able to crack the lineup just makes it worse because we could really use his speed. It's a nice reminder that this is not an exact science.

Yeah, that one hurt. I was pissed when we moved up to get Austin instead of staying put and getting Hopkins and a starting OL.

That draft was LOADED with WRs. I actually wanted Robert Woods, but you had your choice of him, hopkins, patterson, allen, and I’m sure a couple more I can’t remember.

That draft was also rich in DBs and the Rams needed help there as well.

That draft killed the fisher regime.

I heard the Rams offered multiple first round picks for Brian Burns and the Panthers declined. So yes, I agree with the OP. Without that Super Bowl ring I'd firmly place Les on the hot seat. Just my .02.

Yep, Hopkins was my guy. So was Watkins. Should of had them both.

Not sure how far back you’re going, but…

OL: We just won a Super Bowl with 3 draftees as starters.

TE: Higbee is the all-time yardage leader among Rams TEs.

RB: Cam Akers looked pretty darn good before his injury.

EDGE: We’ve been relying on FAs/trades (Matthews, Fowler, Floyd). I’d like to see us take a pass rusher with a Top 60 pick. Maybe next year.

I don’t attribute our current problems to a deficiency in scouting.

Well - the scouting is SOLID.

I wonder if Mcvay gets it the way.To Les Snead’s defense,he makes his mistakes as well.

I’m an old draftnix so I go solely on needs & BPA.The Rams do a better job through out the draft, but I know throughout the years some of us would have come up with better from the Top of the draft.

This year it HURTS THE MOST.

This Lance Brusssss really shows the FAILURE of Tutu Atwell.I said I won’t doubt him.I don’t want to get ugly so I’ll just say he seems like a very Good Person from a tough country up bringing,

Tavon Austin & JJoyner killed me & to think Les Snead & Mcvay ventured in that direction again after signing DJ1 made NO SENSE to me. I blame COVID 2021

Than to reach for Lance Brussss. Again like Les Snead & What’s his name Robinson from Auburn going by inside(players) info.

That brings me back to the draftnix’s in Corey chouvos & Tory Holt with Ty Hill trading back. - I go back a lot of years.

I’m not here to RAG on it.Then again Taylor Rapp is still KILLING The Rams & Bobby Evans. 2019 Bobby played ok at RT,but Taylor Rapp is still costing The Rams losses. Jalen has gotten into it a couple times with him.
Without Eric Weedle the HOF safety. The Rams don’t win the Superbowl. Thanks Raheem Morris.

A’ Robinson is playing excellent LT & Les Snead & the Scouts do an AMAZING Job finding players throughout the draft.
Sean Mcvay develops players well and the draft value that they get back from players being Rams have been incredible.

Nice post.
Maybe, just maybe, Rams scouts are deficient in evaluating certain positions?

Such as:

OL (Creed Humphrey)
RB
TE
Edge

Snead’s scouts have excelled at other positions, especially considering how low Rams are forced to draft, but boy have they missed opportunities at those listed positions over the years.

I understand that scouts work by geographic regions by necessity, but perhaps Rams need better final decision makers at the top for these positions when it becomes table pounding time?

Perhaps someone to replace the likes of Brad Holmes and Ray Agnew? I hope Snead gives this serious consideration.

And while I’m at it, McVay might better dial back his urge to go overboard on skill positions at the top of drafts/FA and give more emphasis to fundamental necessities such as OL. The Atwell/Humphrey fubar is a classic example. One that will take me 10 years to get over, frankly.

Some judicious tweaking in scouting and draft priorities might yield some significant benefits.

Thoughts?
Good points. We certainly do not have top tier talent at every position but it might be amazing what we could achieve with a little more ammunition to trade up and way more luck with developmental players not picking up injuries before they have settled in as starters

My thing was trade Cam Akers,Van Jefferson, T. Lewis. Moving up with those picks for Johnathan Taylor. 2020

Then again 2022 I gave up.Bruss might be the Best pick The
Rams could a have made ?

winning the Super Bowl was awesome & amazing..I’m not going to back track.

Nick Scott is playing at a Pro Bowl level IMO.

Ben Sko is playing well. This I’Day guy is better than Bobby Evans. Rivers a udrda was starting at RB?

Honestly, not trying to be a dick here, but why the hell do you care about what others talk about ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT?

If you don't like what's being said, DON'T PARTICIPATE!?!

Extremely and utterly simple.

Just saying.

Rarely do teams replenish the losses of great talent after winning the SB. GSOT, Legion of Boom, the Broncos in the mid 2010's. It's common, don't sweat it. Rams are a player or two away from a full rebuild but still have elite talent at WR, CB and DL. Stafford is still a good QB too.

In a nut shell, Rams just a ton of holes and are super top heavy. It was the price of a Super Bowl so I don't think there's any reason to complain but losing always hurts. I remember the dark ages of Rams football very well. Steven Jackson was always fun to watch but it was 1 vs 11.

Yes. But also losing to the shitters never goes over well here. The hate is strong. They could drop half their fucking games but beat those bastids and you wouldn't see near as much anger in a post Lombardi season.

That is very true

I didn't get too upset when we lost to Buffalo and losing to Dallas only annoyed me a little because there were two plays I would have liked back on defense

But losing to SF - Gawd fricken pile of shit %^&$# *(&^% %$#@ &^%$ #@@$%^^

If you want to act like it is a running joke, then fine, whatever (Post #21 sure didn't sound like it is a running joke). It just get old and predictable. Believe me, if there is a 'We should have drafted Creed H. thread, I will stay out of it, LOL. Unfortunately, it makes it's way into a lot of threads.

I’ll act accordingly like how I want to act and participate with what im in interested in. You have zero say. Period. At this point IDGAF what you think.

Again if you don’t like it, don’t comment on it. It’s not rocket science. In todays word people feel obligated to respond if they are offended by something. (And if you do respond expect a potential different opinion on the matter) Once again hito, if you don’t like a topic or subject ignore it and don’t respond. Incredibly simple.
