The loss today and the season is 100% on McVay and Snead. Anybody suggesting otherwise doesn't get it IMO.

We continually fail to address the CB position adequately.

We continually fail to address ST adequately.

No other excuses for falling short this season.
Generally love your stuff.

The reason the Rams even made it this far is 100% on McVay and Snead.

Anyone suggesting differently doesn't get it, imo.

The biggest disappointment is that they couldn't finish off a great season by Stafford. There is no guarantee that a 38 yr old QB will stay healthy for a full season next year. Or for that matter that you don't have one of those years where you get crushed by injuries.

I was proud in how they battled. Not perfect on offense, and when the defense did make a big stop the special teams fumbled a punt. Makes you sick, but still proud of the character they showed. 7 road games in the last 9 weeks and they came within a play or two from winning today.
We are either going to have to draft our weak positions and hit spot on, or fuck them picks and get stars! We are running out of time with Stafford. Maybe 2-3 years and we fucked 1 away!

We are going to end up with a Huge rebuild Decision when Big Contracts are due in 2 years either way.

Agreed. If Stafford completes a pass for the TD late in the 4th, it might have been interesting. Darnold didn't have to play from behind except for the gift the Rams gave them just before halftime and the gift just after halftime. IMO, that was the difference in the game right there.

One thing I'm laughing at on here... "It's the special teams and they've done nothing to address it"..

What utter bullshit.

They fired the coordinator mid-season and replaced the kicker.

And.. here's the thing.. Xavier Smith had never been a problem!!! Seriously? What am I missing? Had he had multiple botched kicks???

No! And he choked. Sucks.. but it happened.

The problematic areas of the Special Teams during. the season... WEREN'T A PROBLEM TODAY.

Snead is not going to want to go “F them picks”. I think he knows Stafford and possibly McVay only have so many years left. He wants the team to still be set up for the future if for some reason both those guys are gone.

Besides the defensive scheme being utter garbage, I'll add another vent.

On 4th down going to the rookie pet TE was predictable and stupid.

The play should have been to Puka or Davante there. Or Kyren. Another example of being cute and not going to your power in crunch time.

Great year ended by someone falling fien and too stupid to get out of the fucking way and just let the ball bounce away.

All the work, all the great plays thrown away in two seconds worth of brain fart he and the rest of us have to live with.

What was that moron thinking? He was inside 10! Just get the fuck out of the way!!!!

The play was meant to go to Kyren. McVay and Stafford talked about it after the game. Seattle busted the coverage and accidentally had 2 guys covering Kyren. It was a mistake by them but they lucked out. When you watch the replay, no one is open. The only thing I wish Stafford would’ve maybe done is put the ball higher to give Ferg a chance to out jump him.

But if you go back to that 3rd and 4th down, we didn’t get anyone open on either play.

Rams WR Az-Zahir Hakim fumbles the punt return and the ball is fallen on by Saints FB Brian Milne to guarantee the franchise's first playoff victory.

Sometimes, things happen at the worst moments. Different year, same result.

That wasn't the primary receiver. He wanted to throw it to Kyren in the flat, but two guys went with him. He then couldn't find anyone else open.

Didn't look like it was designed with him as the first option, so I guess you're saying Stafford has poor decision making.

You're confusing the fact that I say they are to blame for faults in the roster to me saying they did nothing right.

You take the praise and you take the blame when youre running the organization.

This is the vent thread where we cite faults and wrongs.

I get it you just see me citing wrongs and don't get that there are two sides to the discussion.

The play was designed for Kyren to be the primary receiver. They thought they’d get man coverage and that they could get Kyren open on a rail route. He ended up having 2 guys covering him. Everyone else was covered. Seattle dropped 7 into coverage.

Just think how many games we would have won and gotten #1 seed if mcvay called plays like he did in the second half all game every game.
The mark of a well coached team is a team that is consistently good in the 2nd half because they adjust. We've done that on both sides of the ball all year.

Now I can get on board with saying I'd love to see the Rams consistently start hot & firing on all cylinders. That would be epic! I'm just not sure that would be realistic.

I'm not. You're exaggerated "100%" is hyperbolic and silly. I get it.. we're fans.

And, honestly... The biggest play and biggest mistake wasn't a recurring Special Teams issue or roster weakness.. Xavier Smith choked. It happens in sports. He has not been an issue in the Rams *previous special teams issues earlier this season.

Seattle is a HELL OF A TEAM and you're not going to beat a team that good by giving away a touchdown, especially on their home field.

Could the Rams have made some better decisions this season? Yup. But they made soooooo many good ones and did such an incredible job developing the overall roster.

One play, on the road in one of the loudest stadiums against the best team in the league other than the Rams.. was the difference.

It's easy to say.. "if they did such and such a move instead of such and such move.. they would've been better and won"... but it's not necessarily true.

Did you see the play? They showed blitz and bailed on it. Nobody was open.
