That hurt but it just highlights how little room for error there is for McVay and Stafford. The offense had to play perfect tonight to win. And while they played great, they didn’t play perfect.Strangest thing for me was our offensive calls at the end of the first half. It cost us the game. Baffling.
Never gonna fade away especially now that Jones more than likely gonna be a Super bowl Champ with the Enemy!Never an explanation, just stay quiet about it until it fades away.
That fumble rule is garbage. I love how on balls that look close to fumbles, the refs all start blowing their whistles rapidly like it actually means something. It happened once in today's game.Season ended sadly. Special teams did us in although not the kicker. I know Mc Snead will address this and we'll be contending again next season. What is a complete bummer is the season may have turned on a freak 2 point play where I guarantee you the whistle was blown dead and the shit hawks got awarded a 2 point conversion that they should not have gotten.
That said, it's history and no amount of complaining will change that outcome. I hope Stafford returns and the Rams have a revenge tour next season, armed with a top notch special teams, an even better defense and a top notch offense again.
It was a good season, but there were signs along the way that this year's Rams could beat any team, anywhere, but proved that they could blow games as well. While the NFCCG wasn't "blown" in that sense, I was thinking with 1:33 before halftime, we should have run 3 times and punted if necessary. That hurt, then we force a 3 and out to start the second half and the muffed punt was the difference in the game.
I'm not in agreement with changing coaching staff or any wholesale changes, but we need to be a team that can count on special teams to be a strength instead of conceding the 35 yard line with regularity and if the philosophy is a zone, then we need good zone defenders who can help the front 7.
That is all I have to say now. Decent season, but disappointed it ended the way it did.
I wonder when he will make a decision by. I’d imagine it would be fairly soon.not sure why exactly.. but stafford did not do his usual presser after the game.
my guess is he didn't feel like answering questions about next year.
my guess is right after NFL Honors awards are announcedI wonder when he will make a decision by. I’d imagine it would be fairly soon.
I mean... I'd be shocked if he didn't play next year. Everything he has said up to this indicated he likely will.I wonder when he will make a decision by. I’d imagine it would be fairly soon.
Yeah I would be really surprised too.I mean... I'd be shocked if he didn't play next year. Everything he has said up to this indicated he likely will.
The thing that is always lurking however... is that money.....
And it has become clear we need a pass rushing monster at edge. Unfortunately Young may just have a bum knee and I don't see them extending him since he will already be 28 next year. His fall off was a big part of the defense's issue. Vetse is A better version of Jademaveon Clowney. Can apply pressure, but doesn't close the deal. The secondary just can't hold up without a top level pass rush.DRAFT A MUTHER-FUCKING CB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was a annual occurrence besides 21Everyone Shit on Kupp for doing the same EXACT thing!
All year Smith has been solid with the ball. Feel sorry for the kid. Got the yips.Xavier Smith WTF?? Doing
That was a annual occurrence besides 21
Most of them came in games that were already Blowouts in a 4 game span. other than that Adams has been no where to be found. He had 0 broken Tackles in the Season and his lowest Avg yards after catch! 52.6% catch Rate which is also his worst! Outside of his 4 games he did anything, hes was MIA! Outside of NO,CAR,JAX,TB he has 574 Yards and 5 TD.Most of his tds were in the redzone and u see when we missed him we sucked in the redzone outside of him and puka the rest of the receivers suck
Agree 100%, but peaking doesnt mean youre flawless. It means youre playing as good as your team can with what you have. Alot of our losses were to teams that were built to expose our weaknesses. We were good. Good enough we should have won a SB. But we beat ourselves in all 6 losses. Whether it was missing FGs, bad play calling, muffing a punt, etc. We always found a way to lose in those 6 losses. This team could and should have won a SB.
With Whittington crashing into a group of defenders every single time.An another special teams note….once teams realized we absolutely suck at returning kickoffs, they all just started kicking it to the 3 and making us return it. We started at around the 23, 24 yard line on so many drives. Meanwhile we gotta kick it in the endzone and everyone else is starting out at the 35.
They were behind the eight ball when Snead & McVay failed to address the secondary in the offseason. Simple as that. I realize you draft for the future, but in an all in year with a 37 yr old QB, maybe you stick at 26 and draft a CB or take Emanyouri (sp?). He was drafted at 35. I know many of us liked him pre draft.I’m also gutted for Davante. 0-5 in NFC Championship games. He deserves better.
Seriously, the defense should be ashamed of themselves.
