Curious to see Shanahan's development as an HC, I'll give him a slight edge over McVay as an offensive playcaller but McVay is lightyears ahead in terms of communication/leadership skills that resonate with players and coaching-alike. Real challenge for these two will be how they fare once their respective defensive coordinators depart

Yeah I think Sean is going to slide into being an actual head coach much more smoothly than Kyle will. And one thing that isn't normally discussed in the comparison is the overall staff quality.

The Rams staff is insanely good. Wade at DC is a luxury for not only McVay, but also for Jared and the offense. And the Rams also have the better special teams coaching as well. All three phases covered by this staff man, it's pretty sick.

I'm still wondering what the hell did Shanny do to that 9ers offense? How can Jimmy G. be that good, in that system, that fast?

4 tds to 3 ints with 1 quality win in 4 starts. Let’s not act like he going crazy in that offense. He’s def not putting up Goff like numbers ;)

Can’t wait for Mannion to beat him.

We have all heard that Shanahan can be hard to work with or rub people the wrong way. McVay is the exact opposite of that, McVay pulls people to him and empowers them. McVay will win Championships in LA before and after Shanahan moves from the NFC West.

Well ... the first two of there 4 Wins where against Bad Teams, and they got lucky against the Titans! And I personally feel the Jags fell into a "Trap-Game!" JMHO!

Hell yeah! To say nothing of the incredible camaraderie that has developed between the teams three units. Imagine Aaron Donald, arguably the NFL's best defensive player, going up to the Gurley Man before the Titans game to announce how proud he is of the Express!, and how he is routing for him? Or the guys pulling together to assist helping Greg the Leg when his back was so stricken he had difficulty walking before his surgery? I'm just waiting to see what happens when Jared develops into the super cool 4th quarter surgeon I expect him to become and the defense & special team units go out of their way to limit opponents and get the ball back to the offense so Jared, his fly guys, & the Gurley Express! can all do their thing to ensure victory. Maybe I'm slightly biased, but with all three units performing well, this team is already the most exciting squad in the entire league.

They were 1-10 when he took over, I would argue any win is a quality win for this team. Also in common games he does have Goff type numbers minus the picks. Goff has none. You got to give the kid credit, Shanny has this complex offense that he has come in mid year to learn.

I’m with you though, I hope Mannion spanks him this week.

Shanahan is so boring I'm forced to watch that video on YouTube. Nice locker room though.

I just think the Jimmy hype is a little funny and overblown that’s all. Especially since his numbers aren’t anything too crazy. Their fg kicker has been their MVP during the win streak. I refuse to give the niners credit for anything lol

McVoff vs Shannahoppolo is going to be very interesting in the next few years! I know who you guys think will win but interesting take.

p.s. we have the X Factors
1. Gurley
2. Future HOF Donald and company on D
3. Special Teams dominance

This chick pisses me off sometimes, she reminds me a bitter St Lou person meh... get over it.
She does have a point. The Whiners have a ton of cap space this next year. They can Jag it up and bring alot of talent to the team next year...

Eh, somebody has to pick Shanahan and Jimmy for there to be a debate. However, fact is that Jared Goff has better numbers than ANY NFL QB over the past 8 games. For example, Goff has thrown four more TDs and three less picks than Brady over that stretch with a passer rating that is nine points higher. The man is cooking with fire.

Her statement about Jimmy doing better if he would have been on the Rams team last year with Fisher is also a little unfair given it was Goff's rookie year and Jimmy has been sitting behind Brady and Belichick for a couple of years!

Jesus that woman is a dumbass. NO QB WOULD THRIVE IN A FISHER OFFENSE! Not Goff, not Keenum and yes not even the great Jimmy Garoppolo..

Yeah, once that woman started using Goff's rookie season to make her point, she lost credibility. That is a shallow, uniformed fan's point of view. 3 NFC teams are headed to the playoffs with QB's who struggled and lost under Fisher. That is all you need to know about that.
