Harblow would probably take it if offered as well. I don’t recall Michigan winning any championships with him at the helm and if he can get to the SB with Krap, he probably believes he can do it again with Mayfield.
Honestly Stu this couldn't be farther off the point from someone who does not know the situation in Michigan in the slightest. 'A Michigan Man' is at the helm and this is a dream job and he get's paid more than most NFL HC's already, has total atonomy in regards to running the program, and his family loves living there, is intertwined and embraced locally.
No slights to you but someone saying Harbaugh is going to be a NFL HC anytime soon is as far off on not knowing the situation there in Ann Arbor as someone for the last few years looking at Jared Goff's stats and calling him a bust. Those familiar with what's going on know this is literally the change of guard year in the Big 10. OSU, PSU, and MSU are experiencing a down year or inner turmoil in the university level.
As far as winning in college, college football is a totally different beast than the NFL where FA and drafts is designed to foster change as opposed to college it takes a minimum of 3-4 years to get your recruits and set up your system properly which is why you generally see the same schools top the rankings throughout the 10+ year span.
Rivals and winning? Well he's finally got a great QB transfer to run his offense, has had the #1,#3, #1 defense in the country since he's been there and is in prime position this year to get in the playoffs and win that championship.
Also in prime position to win the Big 10 now and he's already rolled a few of the rivals, just needs to really win in PSU, OSU, and the Big 10 Championship to make this happen which seems very likely to happen this year.
The change of guard is happening right now in the Big 10 and it's going to stay consistent for at least the next 3-6 years at a minimum.
