I can't believe that turd asked him that question.

.

Agreed, random internet moron doesn't deserve to be acknowledged by asking McVay himself about it. Ridiculous.

Possible 3 Team Trade:

Patriots Get: Five 6th round picks from Rams; Promote McDaniels to Head Coach
Rams Get: Belichick & $500,000 Cash (Prepayment for future Belichick fine for cheating)
Cleveland Gets: Sean McVay (but, his gf stays in LA)

Worth Considering!!!

Dear god I hope you forgot the blue font.

I did not know Zac Taylor was a offensive coordinator. Where was he offenoffe coordinator at?

I also heard that Shane Waldron would be a good candidate for the next head coach. The young coaches are taking over in this league. And he's only 39.

Zac Taylor was offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins in 2015 and the University of Cincinnati in 2016 before coming to the Los Angeles Rams. The results were not favorable, but Taylor is just 35. Shane Waldron could get some interviews, as long as they stay away from Aaron Kromer I'm good.

The only reason why I think he would be on the list is he grew up in Ohio. That being said I couldn't imagine a situation were Sean Mcvay would walk away with the talent they have on this team. Crazy the stuff people come up with
Born in Ohio, grew up in Georgia

Looking for the next McVay

In the aftermath of the Cleveland Browns’ firing of coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley, members of McVay’s staff have been mentioned as possible candidates to fill the vacancies.

Quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor and passing game coordinator Shane Waldron are regarded as hot prospects.

Both are “great communicators, great teachers, great leaders,” McVay said.

“Would I be upset if we lost them? Would I be very stressed out?” he said. “The answer is yes, I would.”

Browns owner Jimmy Haslam told Cleveland reporters during a news conference that the team had not yet considered who it might hire for a team that features quarterback Baker Mayfield, the No. 1 pick in the 2018 draft.

“We really have not focused on that,” Haslam said. “We are focused on making these changes and putting the team in the best position to winning the last eight games.”

Because of McVay’s success with quarterback Jared Goff, the Rams’ model of matching a young offense-minded coach with a young quarterback could become an NFL trend.

The Chicago Bears attempted to duplicate the Rams’ formula by hiring Matt Nagy for a team with quarterback Mitch Trubisky.

After last season, the Tennessee Titans interviewed Rams offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur to become their head coach. They ultimately hired him to call plays as offensive coordinator, responsibilities he did not have under McVay.

The Oakland Raiders hired veteran Rams quarterbacks coach Greg Olson as offensive coordinator.

The Browns are not expected to hire a coach until after the college or NFL regular seasons. Chatter about Taylor and Waldron will not be a distraction, McVay said.

“These guys have the right mind-set,” he said, adding, “They'll continue to work exactly like they have, doing an excellent job coaching and being the best Rams coaches they can be.

“Down the line, I think they know that if you want to continue to be in those conversations, if that's something that they have goals to be able to try to achieve, then we've got to continue to have success as a team.”

McVay, who is expected to receive an extension from the Rams after this season, also addressed speculation caused by an oddsmaker’s internet post that he might be a candidate to coach the Browns.

“I couldn’t be happier to be here with our players, with this organization, working for a great owner in Mr. [Stan] Kroenke,” McVay said. “Unless they decide they want to make a change I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”

Good article from Gary Klein and McVay's current contract was for 5 years at 1.2 million per year, they will extend him for more than likely 3 years with a handsome raise as the Los Angeles Rams get ready to move into their palatial venue with new digs too or hopefully classic uniforms that all of us viewed on Sunday.

.

the rams gave fisher $42m for 5 seasons.

if fisher is worth $8.4m per season then mcvay is worth $840m per season because he is 100 times better a hc than fisher was for the rams.

I love Sean McVay in an uncomfortable way.

Me too. storge, philia, eros, and agape.
And I'm not ashamed to admit it!

THE LOVE MISCONCEPTION

In the English language, we use an overarching blanket term for love…

  • I love my friend.
  • I love the Yankees.
  • I love bacon.
  • I love my mom.
  • I love God.

One word for so many different scenarios. One description for such varied feelings. As a result, love turns into a vague, misunderstood idea that causes mass confusion in our lives. Much of the struggles we go through are rooted from misunderstanding of what love is to begin with.

We can turn to the Greeks to help clear this fog. Ancient Greece was one of the most influential civilizations of history. They were the trailblazers of democracy, they produced history’s greatest thinkers from Plato to Aristotle, and much of the language we use has its roots in Greek. They were also brilliant enough to understand and articulate the different flavors of love.

So after all these years, David Shaw leaves Palo Alto for Cleveland? Maybe for Dallas, but I would be shocked if he took the Browns job. Now @fearsomefour they would have to include power, but they won't IMO because of Dorsey. IDK, Shaw could have had better opportunities, I believe he's a college coach and only leaves Stanford for USC IMHO.
You may well be right.
I couldn't think of anyone else off the top of my head.

As much I respect Vinny B as a journalist (partly bc the guy tweets me back all the time), and I understand he probably wants to be the guy who addresses the online buzz about this, I WISH we could’ve seen a rare glimpse of Sean pulling a Belliceck and sarcastically laughing this off. How anybody could actually believe this was in any way shape or form possible is laughable. The guy is getting a lifetime deal next go round of negotiations.

The Browns could go after Lincoln Riley of Oklahoma IMHO, he has a great rapport with Mayfield and is considered a rising star ready for the NFL. You never know who's going to emerge as other teams make changes, but Riley would be that out of the box hire, that would be McVayesque.

Mike McCarthy of the Packers would be a slam dunk if the Packers decide to go in another direction. Offensive Coach with success that has worked with GM John Dorsey in the past. McCarthy could re-energize himself like Andy Reid did going to Kansas City and if the Packers miss out on post season, it could happen.

John DeFillipo of the Vikings will surely get an interview, he has coached in Cleveland before and left because he was against the Manziel selection, so not sure if he burned any bridges, but DeFillipo will be on everyone's short list.

Jim Harbaugh's name will come up, but this is the best Michigan team he has had and I believe will be in the final four at the end as he defeats Ohio State as well.

Dave Taub Special Teams Coach Chiefs....Taub is been mentioned and interviewed and has worked with Dorsey in the past, but with Mayfield you would think you want a QB guru to work with him and that's why unless everyone declines, I don't see it happening.

Looked through 4 different Browns forums and none of them mentioned Sean McVay as a potential head coach for their team. At least that's not a delusional fan base. It was mentioned that they want a young offense-minded head coach to help Baker Mayfield.

McCarthy would make sense.
Would also find out if McCarthy can really coach a team up.
Having back to back HOF QBs certainly makes the job easier for an offensive coach.

Could we deal them an assistant coach for a high draft pick in a bye week trade? Sounds like we are going to lose Waldron and/or Taylor in the off-season anyway.

I think the guy from Stanford finally gets his shot.

Well, Stanford coach has said that any team would have to convince his wife since living in Palo Alto is pretty amazing.

Not sure that Cleveland is going to sway Coach's wife that Cleveland is the spot over Palo Alto... no offense to Cleveland.

Haslam is an ignoramus. He should have fired Hue Jackson, who deserved it, and kept Haley around until the end of the season to ensure his young QB has an OC who has a damn clue.

Now you have the kid QB under a guy whose main focus is defense. Unlike many here I like Williams, however he's not the guy you want in place given the makeup of this particular team.

Haha. No, I didn't forget. I just figured what I wrote was so dumb everyone would know I was kidding (or that I'm dumb!)
