I don't agree with this.
The offense didn't let up.....the OL, with two backups, started getting beaten up front. That is not a surprise over a long game with a ton of possessions.
Losing Dotson certainly removes a physical piece of the running game.
But, if you look at the play calls after the pick by Turner and after the punt return McVay didn't go into a shell. He was being aggressive. The OL was getting pushed around and the TEs picked a couple of bad spots for some of their 5 or 6 drops on the night.....and a hold call on a longer run.
And what about the D. They allowed Seattle to get inside the 10 very fast before the INT because of they backed off what had been working and went to prevent. This D will always be better when aggressive. Same with the Eagles. It allows the QB to much time and with our back end, that is always a problem.

Yes just read your post and I agree. We're seeing that one the same. And by the way this isn't new. It's not just a this-season thing. This is instead a McVay thing. It's been one of his biggest issues over his time with us, which again I have to caveat this by saying he's a great coach because some folks can't seem to keep that balance in their heads while criticizing him.

He overcomes his teams issues more often than not. But he could potentially benefit greatly from a better stacked teams unit to handle that third of the game.

So you are right about Tutu and Rivers. Tutu made the roster when they paid him the absurd total of $10M. Fans can rationalize the value of the contract, but what it effectively means is he makes the team. Same by the way with Mumps. Now Mumps has helped us too, he's a good depth player. But more emphasis needs to be placed on teams in those bottom roster and depth spots.

Why in the fuck is it so hard to draft a goddamn RETURNER WITH WHEELS AND ELUSIVENESS. Then give that MFer a bottom roster spot. Same with gunners, who are the pointy end of the special teams spear to force fair catches when your punter decides to kick middle of the field meatballs in the biggest game of the season in Seattle.
This has annoyed me more than anything with our special teams. Why is it almost every time someone punts to us they have a guy standing right next to the guy forcing our returner to fair catch whereas we almost never have someone standing next to the guy when they catch the punt. This irritates me no end.

Worst part was those two idiots trying to talk up the Seattle player who touched the ball like he had known what he was doing. Like it was all some miraculous event where only he had the foresight to recognize it.

I was raging at that point boy. Been a long time since I've been that pissed off watching a game.

Like in war, the victors get to write the historical narrative. For Seattle, that play will be revered like the Immaculate Reception, or Music City Miracle. Build a statue, open a museum for it .... He picked up the ball like it was a piece of waste paper, and started looking for the garbage can.

I wasn't overly upset by the 2-pt call until I realized today that the whistle had blown. The NFL will need to add a new section more succinctly defining "clear recovery".

Regarding Puka, the expression "put up or shut up" comes to mind. We might want to modify this for him ("put up AND shut up"). What a game by him.

Give the Seahawks credit for at least containing our running game. And, as much as we can stomp on Darnold, he did lead a clutch drive in OT. I'll still take Stafford any day.

We are in the playoffs. The key is to get 5-seed now so we play TB/Car for the wild-card game.

Not to mention us kicking it in the endzone on every kickoff, giving it to them on the 35. Meanwhile they force our guys to return it, and we typically were ending up somewhere around the 27. Really annoying! That’s almost a free first down.

Yeah but the one time Shaheed got a chance at a return he housed it rather easily. I would rather no give him a chance at a return

Realistic take Deacon, agree

Yep. Our dudes outside the hash have very little fight and routinely concede to the opposing gunners.

Most of our teams issues relate back to players. But that is also on the ST Coach. Unless he has been jumping on tables screaming inside Rams Park about these issues and been ignored. We don't know about that side of things unfortunately, however I doubt that has been the case.

Stud teams dudes can be found in FA too btw. They're usually not that pricey. Certainly cheaper than $10M per. :laugh2:

I give the Seahawks full credit yes. They won this game. They fought and refused to quit and got it done.

But if/when this team sees them again in the playoffs, we're gonna knock them the fuck out.

They did nothing wrong.... the nerds in the replay booth overturned the correct call on the field

Al Michaels claimed that NO WHISTLES WERE BLOWN live on air to the world before the overturn was announced. That is an out right lie... so obviously a wrong thing to do.

Whether he was told to say that by the league or someone at Prime... he fucking announced that NO WHISTLES WERE BLOWN. It doesn't matter who gave him the order to lie to the peasant fans watching on TV around the world... what makes him completely guilty of wrong doing is complying with their order to lie. He lied to you too.

It's so obvious now why they didn't replay the whole thing to listen to see if a whistle was blown. Thank God someone got it posted on X so that we could all see for ourselves what really happened.

Can a player get fined for a tweet that immediately gets deleted?

Because Puka double downed on the refs. I support it. Bad calls happen, I don’t usually complain about them, but that 2 pt conversion was insane. With the Vegas odds linking up perfectly with this outcome…..

Yes he can and its a shame more players and coaches don't speak up. If enough speak up it could force changes. I stead everyone see.s to be fine being screwed over and let officiating suck.

It's been a very long time since I've allowed a game to get me to Decon 5 too. Don't get me wrong, I scream like a savage throughout Ram games from start to finish still... That hasn't changed and never will, but last night I couldn't go to sleep no matter what I did.

Take the fine and speak up.

I wish one HC somewhere would say something when it's obvious they got hosed by a bad call.

Where is Sam Kinison when you need him...

Our prevent defense needs a makeover.

When an offense knows you are going prevent the Oline and QB get comfortable.

Predictability will kill you.

Need to mix in random blitzes to make the QB and especially one like Darnold frantic and hurried.

We saw what happened last night when you don’t do that.

We needed one knock out shot on either offense or defense.

Roll the dam dice and don’t regret it.

When is the last time you have seen a team convert three two-point conversions late in a game like that. This team really shit the bed looks like I may have to lower my expectations for them. I agree special teams sucked and cost the Rams this game.
I watched the game but I didn't see a team convert three two-point conversions.

I think ( HA HA)

The whistle is irrelevant.

Nobody can argue whether it was a fumble or not. It was.

The rulebook :

Under the 2025 NFL rules, the relevant section is Rule 8, Article 6 — Fumble After Two-Minute Warning or During a Try:

If a fumble by either team occurs during a Try (which includes a 2-point conversion attempt):
(a) The ball may be advanced by any opponent (i.e., the defense).
(b) The only offensive player who is permitted to recover and advance the ball is the player who fumbled.
(c) If a teammate of the player who fumbled recovers the ball, it is dead at that spot — no advance.
The next snap is from the spot of the fumble (or the spot of recovery if that is behind the fumble).
NFL Football Operations

Stafford :

"I just want to know that rule," Stafford said, per the L.A. Daily News. "Because I thought on plays like that -- two-minute plays or two-point plays, inside of two minutes and stuff -- I didn't think you were allowed to advance a fumble."
