Yeah that's kinda concerning since I'm sure we'd all like to see him actually kick a few to see how he actually does in a game.
I di that want to give you on Karty. They screwed him up with those dirty kicks, and he hasn't had McQuaid in the operation.

Again, use him in a big game for kickoffs.

Cheers as well. Trust me, I get there is no reason to not be able to burn clock but we were playing another 7-2 team plus making a lot of dumb mental mistakes on our side to assist. I'm just happy we made enough plays overall as a team to win. The Rams definitely need to be better on our jext outing regarding this. Our next opponent has some firepower and may be getting some other weapons back too. For now, lets all enjoy being top of the mountain while hoping Captain Knee Cap's team winning against the Iggles lol

During the last few minutes, I noticed the Rams a few times snapped the ball when there were still more than 10 seconds on the clock and secondly, some of the calls on the last 2 drives were too predictable. Sometimes a pass on first down or 2nd down is the way to go as the defense was selling out to stop the run, minus the Puka end around. But they tried that end around to the other side and got nothing.

Our defense is not elite in my opinion. Our linebackers are below average in pass coverage.

Our corners are average to above average at times.

But we have a great run defense, an above average pass rush and some guys that can force turnovers.

Shula is up and down as a playcaller in my book, solid but not top notch.

When you look past the stats due to the opponents played, the offense and defense are each top 10ish.

But that give us a chance to go deep in the playoffs.

Just some things that stuck out to me:

Seattle's defense is VERY good.. best Rams have faced this year, imo... BUT... I think the Rams offense was also just a little off today. Next game? I'm not gonna be surprised if both offenses have much better games against each other.

Getting Forbes to the level he's at now is just such a massive organizational win. He's becoming the best version of himself, which is a decent NFL CB.

I hate seeing a zero sack number for the defense... but it really didn't reflect the impact the pressure had. Pass rush was good all day.

I love seeing a zero sack number for our offense.. but that's just one of the reasons I feel like they just had an off day on D.

Ethan Evans.. take a bow.

Thiccer Kicker.. .thank you for no drama.

8-2 is really nice.

It just occurred to me that championship teams win games exactly like this. We lost a similar game against the Eagles and Niners. Now we are winning these games. Sure it’s just one game, but hey it’s what we are supposed to do. Win ugly, but win, nonetheless.

And none of their RBs are explosive runners. We gave the blueprint to stopping them to the league. You're welcome, league.
Untrue. Kenneth Walker III has wheels. Ran a 4.38 at the 2022 Combine.
Made some good runs against the Rams.
But we had DBs that came in and made tackles.

All the uncharacteristic penalties as well.

But yea, in my opinion the Seattle defense a bit better than ours but our offense is clearly better with the QB, WR's and McVay designs.

The Forbes story is a great one. Definite organizational win.

Seattle has a really good, aggressive defense but I don't know that it's better. It's probably all in how one defines what's good.

If you're measuring yards per game or sacks, their D is better. But ours is better in several critical metrics - in fact IMO the most important metrics.

Opponent Redzone Scoring Percentage:

LAR 2nd best at 43.75%
Seattle 11th at 55.88%

Opponent Points Per Game:

LAR 2nd at 16.9
Seattle 6th at 18.6

Takeaways Per Game:

LAR Tied 2nd at 1.8
Seattle Tied 9th at 1.3

We've got a bend not break and less aggressive style but at the end of the day, our defense is better at keeping points off the board.

Getting tired of these STUPID kickoff rules. Kick it in the end zone, hit the FUCKING upright and they get it at the 35 !!! Fuck that.
Orange man is right, go back to the old kickoff rules. Let them smash into each other at high speed. 105 yard kickoffs runs used to be a thing. Remember Ron Brown anyone ?
And put the extra point back where it was while you are at it.
It should not be some iffy thing with a crosswind.
And while they are at that........... make it illegal to push teammates from behind.
And let the QBs throw it away in the pocket without getting a intentional grounding like they do. You want to protect QB ? Thats one way to do it.

Rant over............................. for now !

Good points.

Not sure how many backup QB's Seattle has faced but we have faced a ton.
Tried having chatGPT compare offenses faced but the data is all messed up.

Our pass rush seems to have disappeared and that concerns me, but the redzone and turnovers points do look solid.
