What about those 4th and 1 calls? Not too conservative...The only consolation is we held them to 20 points and 1 td.

I was just going to post that. This makes up for the games we should have won and didn't. This had loss written all over it with their failure to just put one good drive together in the 2nd half to put it away, along with how the run game stalled after the first quarter. Two of three TD drives were short fields and they failed to convert on another short field after an INT.We had 250 yards; they outgained us by 165 yards, more than doubled our 1st downs, and had a +15:00 TOP
There is work to do but stoked for the W
Kinda makes up for Phi & SF
Yep! It was a matchup thing. We certainly tried to keep them off balance with 13 but it wasn't effective enough. 11 wasn't great either.I think the idea today with more 11 was that Seattle has the LB’s to matchup better vs our 13 playbook.
They blew up several running plays in 13 by just annihilating one of our tight ends. TH89 and KP84 both got blown up a couple times that resulted in negative running playsI think the idea today with more 11 was that Seattle has the LB’s to matchup better vs our 13 playbook.
Part of it is about matchups. When you use 13, the other team is forced to play more base D with LBs instead of DBs. We can still run effectively with the bigger bodies and the TEs, specifically Ferg, is a mismatch against a LB in the passing game. Why doesn't he use 12 personnel more often? The 13 has been effective but you are taking your best player off the field -puka
No, the D killed it, but it was almost wasted trying to run out the clock with over 8 minutes instead of trying to put them away.So the Rams defense has nothing to do with it? You'd think Rams fans would be happy with a victory that places them in 1st place in the division and possibly the #1 seed if Philly loses tonight but here we are
Agreed but honestly the offense was off today and some games will be like that. As long as we win them, its ultimately what matters. Its the NFL, gotta take wins wherever and however you can.No, the D killed it, but it was almost wasted trying to run out the clock with over 8 minutes instead of trying to put them away.
Indeed. I was chatting with a sh*tchicken fan friend. I decided that was his new method to not get sacked 9 times. Do the chuck and pray. I was here for it.The reason we won is pretty much anytime we got pressure on Darnold (which wasnt much the first half) is he would chuck it right to our guys.
That was basically the difference.
I agree with you somewhat in terms of having bad days scoring points. It happens.Agreed but honestly the offense was off today and some games will be like that. As long as we win them, its ultimately what matters. Its the NFL, gotta take wins wherever and however you can.
Cheers as well. Trust me, I get there is no reason to not be able to burn clock but we were playing another 7-2 team plus making a lot of dumb mental mistakes on our side to assist. I'm just happy we made enough plays overall as a team to win. The Rams definitely need to be better on our jext outing regarding this. Our next opponent has some firepower and may be getting some other weapons back too. For now, lets all enjoy being top of the mountain while hoping Captain Knee Cap's team winning against the Iggles lolI agree with you somewhat in terms of having bad days scoring points. It happens.
IMO there’s no excuse for a Sean McVay team with Stafford at QB to be completely unable to get a first down and burn some clock (play downhill) with a lead in the 4th quarter. We got destroyed in that phase today.
Cheers. It’s a great day in the standings. It’s just a huge weakness of this team. I get it when the Saints and Browns of the world can’t get a first down to close it, but come on man…please make a block and execute a play.
I think that’s where the criticism lies.
