She was apparently part of the big ESPN purge last fall/winter when they fired a good chunk of their on-air "talent". But from a few things I've watched of hers she seems ok.

Looks like she got caught cuttin a fart.

Too bad we won't get any real Rams news. Good luck to Marina. See got a nice gig.

I just care that she’s smart, asks great questions and gets us great info.

Mary Kay Cabot isn’t going to win a Ford modeling contract, but she’s one of the best in the business regardless of gender.

I’d rather have a great sports reporter than a spokesmodel because I’m a diehard Rams fan and want Rams info.

There’s the whole rest of the interwebz if I want to look at pretty things be they people, animals, nature, architecture, art, etc.

I don't know...maybe she has a great personality???

She seems to display a good knowledge of sports. The video became a bit nauseating, with all the false victim BS.

Ironically, her Latina, and female status probably checked a couple boxes to get the job. Let’s be honest. We are living in 2018. Not some racist, sexist era.

You still have to do the job. Best of luck to her. We want to hear good Rams news. Not from a “Latina”, Or a “woman”. From a reporter. I don’t care about the melanin in her skin or her plumbing.

You know. Judged based on her merits.

Good call Mac, Mary Kay is fantastic and I used to bring her up to contrast how poorly the STL reporters did when covering the Rams. She had to work a bit harder to be taken seriously early on but man she is a fantastic writer.

Tony Grossi and Mary Kay Cabot were the best duo covering football anywhere. And people take their fandom with the Browns VERY seriously.

My apologies to Sarina, if I was in error.

I just looked up the differences/definitions between Mexican, Latino, Hispanic and Chicano
https://www.spanishdict.com/guide/what-is-the-difference-between-hispanic-mexican-latino-and-chicano

What is the Difference Between "Hispanic," "Mexican," "Latino," and "Chicano"?

Quick Answer
  • Hispanic = a citizen of Latin America/Spain or a U.S. citizen of Latin American/Spanish descent
  • Mexican = a Mexican citizen
  • Latino = a citizen of Latin America or a U.S. citizen of Latin American descent
  • Chicano = a U.S. citizen of Mexican descent
These terms sometimes overlap, so read on for more on the differences and similarities between them!

Hispanic
The term Hispanic (hispano or hispánico) can be used to refer to someone from Spain, Portugal, Brazil, or the Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America, as well as to people of Hispanic descent (people with parents, grandparents, etc. who are Hispanic).

  • In the U.S., the term Hispanic is most commonly used to refer to someone from Latin America (Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Central and South America).
There are many Hispanic stores in my neighborhood.
Hay muchas tiendas hispanas en mi barrio.
I'm taking a class on Hispanic literature.
Estoy tomando una clase sobre la literatura hispana.

The terms Hispanic and Latino are considered interchangeable by some people, so don't be surprised if you see them used as synonyms.

Mexican
The term Mexican (mexicano) can be used to refer to someone born in Mexico, someone with Mexican citizenship, or someone of Mexican descent.

My husband is Mexican. He was born in Mexico City.
Mi esposo es mexicano. Nació en la Ciudad de México.
Valeria was born in Argentina, but now she has Mexican citizenship. That's why she's Mexican, not Argentinean.
Valeria nació en Argentina, pero ahora tiene nacionalidad mexicana. Por eso es mexicana, no argentina.
Rosa considers herself Mexican. She was born in the U.S., but her parents are from Guadalajara.
Rosa se considera mexicana. Ella nació en los Estados Unidos, pero sus papás son de Guadalajara.
Latino
The term Latino (latino) is used to refer to someone from Latin America (Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Central and South America), as well as to people of Latino descent (people with parents, grandparents, etc. who are Latino).

My mom is Latina. She was born in Guayaquil, a city in Ecuador.
Mi mamá es latina. Nació en Guayaquil, una ciudad en Ecuador.
My dad is Latino, but he's not Mexican. He's Cuban.
Mi papá es latino, pero no es mexicano. Es cubano.
Chicano
The term Chicano is normally used to refer to someone born in the United States to Mexican parents or grandparents and is considered a synonym of Mexican-American.

  • A person who was born in Mexico and came to the United States as an adult would refer to him/herself as Mexican, not Chicano.
Rogelio is Chicano. His parents were born in Mexico, but he was born in Los Angeles.
Rogelio es chicano. Sus papás nacieron en México, pero él nació en Los Angeles.
Daniela is Mexican, not Chicana. She was born in Puebla and has only been here in the States for two years.
Daniela es mexicana, no chicana. Nació en Puebla y solo lleva dos años aquí en los United.

(Me) If so, welcome Sarina, I'm glad the Rams have a Latina reporter.

Preferred order:
1) A smart good sports reporter who is spicy hot. (Which Sarina is)
2) A smart good sports reporter.
3) One yummy fine ass good looking woman who knows what sport the Rams play.

Everybody misses Dani! Even my dog misses Dani, and he doesn't like anyone!!!

Dani was just a breath of positive energy in a sports world full of negative asses.

She is indeed a hottie, and I've crushed on her since day 1.... but I gotta admit she's basic as hell. PSL nation member, Ugg boot wearing, American Idol watching, basic.

Sarina is pretty too, I just hope she's a positive as Dani was with the Rams.
